Is there something in the kit that strains the coffee?

No, I use a mesh wire strainer from elsewhere. Not all enemas kits are "coffee enema kits" but obviously you can do whatever type of enema you want. You could use a regular coffee filter or cheese cloth or something like that if you don't have a strainer. Hope this helps :)

Do kit has coffee in it or buy separate?

The kit does not come with coffee. I like this kit and have been using it for about 6 months. I buy my coffee from CafeMam.com, they have a special therapy roast.
