Retro New Monopoly Monopoly Game Edition (Original Version)

Overpriced but you gotta pay for the classics. My wife found it very nostalgic.

I'm teaching my kids how to play monopoly and there's soooo many styles! It was overwhelming and I just wanted to show them how to play. We had a Disney edition and when my kids would talk to their grandparents about our board night game, my parents wouldn't know what area of the board they were on. So I looked for a regular monopoly board game at Walmart and believe it or not, it was hard to find just a regular set. There were so many specialty sets. This set is interesting because it's a replica of the original retro style. Very cool. Close to what I grew up with, but it's also need to read a little history about the game. I recommend for teenagers and older because the prices aren't on the board. It's on a bankers card.

Very good condition perfect gift

This replica of the original 1935 Monopoly set is very similar to the late 1940s set I loved as a child. It is well made and reasonably priced. The board folds into four sections which might be a wear issue over time. There is a Bankers Card included as the 1935 board did not include prices for the properties and the property cards only noted the mortgage value. The set includes wooden houses and hotels and the original six metal tokens.

No modern spins. Just the classic Monopoly game. Even the box is Retro. The pieces seem well-made, as does the board. Even the Banker's Card explains that the board doesn't have the property prices because the original didn't have them listed on the board! A true duplication of the original! This game brings the family together without screens. No need for the frills of some souped up version. This original is where it all began.

My fam and I played for four hours the first night we got it. The pieces are good quality. Its a great timeless game.

This us one in a series on monopoly games I have been purchasing over the years fir my son. The condition was good, the price was good and it arrived on time.

This is not value. I expected a wooden board it is cardboard. Just buy the normal one.
