Awesome Quality Knives
The Ned Foss line of knives has become one of my go to brands. From quality and look of their knives, to the excellent packaging, you cannot go wrong

Solid Knife
Knife seems solid, maybe an odd material for the handle I'm not sure what it is. The spark/fire start feature is nice to have but not sure if I'll ever use it.

Very top shelf quality blade and sheathe
The Amazon picture are good but… when I received the instrument.. taken back I was.. the G-10 handles are perfect no hotspots.. sharp out of the box.. quality blade and well made leather sheathe .. kinda scratching my head about the price!! This is one of those “ glad you got it “

Great knife, sub-par fire starter
Knife:The knife itself feels solid and very well made, it's actually a beautiful knife and I almost hate to blemish it. The handle feels very good, but I think it could stand to be just a tad wider. The blade came with a very nice edge, but I have not used it enough to see how well it holds that edge, assuming it really is G2 though, it should hold pretty well. I would have no problem giving the knife itself 5 stars.Sheath:Overall, the sheath is what one would expect. Personally, I prefer kydex over leather, but I knew this sheath was leather and it is a good sheath.Fire starter:This is a package deal and unfortunately, the fire starter I received is just not very good. I have used this type of fire starter many times in the past, so I do know what I am doing. This one is really difficult to spark, so much so that I began to think I was sent the wrong item. I finally got it to spark after way too many attempts, but it's just not supposed to be that difficult. I was striking it so hard to produce a spark that I would actually worry, long term, about breaking the rod.

A great camp/bushcraft/backwoods knife
I got this for use as a knife for general carry and utility while camping and backpacking. It is just the right size for practical use, as opposed to your typical "Rambo" style survival knives, and in fact would make a great survival knife thanks to the included fire starter. The handle is tough yet comfortable and fits well in my hands with a small notch behind the guard where your index and middle finger sit nicely (for reference I'm 5'11", 200lbs, I'd say average sized hands). While it fits well, I'd say it is pretty exact, and if I was to nitpick, I would say it could stand to be 1cm longer. The thick D2 tool steel blade runs the length of the knife, ending with an opening which you can attach a lanyard to. I've included an example I tied off in my attached photos, very easy to do and it adds to the functionality and safety by a lot. The drop point style blade is just the right length, and basically holds an edge well, though repeated use of the firestarter which is a bit overly hard will cause edge issues. Another nitpicking recommendation would be to integrate some way to sharpen the blade into the sheath, via stone or other method. The jumping on the spine is nice and lines up perfectly with my thumb, and it is a very easy to use knife and despite the occasional nick in the edge, it remains sharp.Overall, I'd say this is a good value for a very nice knife. The real leather sheath is also very nice and will only get better as it breaks in, and the included fire steel is a great perk. While I usually lean towards tanto style blades, this is a case where a drop point is definitely the right choice. If you are looking for a solid and reliable camping/backwoods knife, this is definitely one you should very seriously consider.
