Habor Thermometer with Larger LCD Backlit Alarm Monitor

I'm giving 4 stars bc I realy do like this product however.. this is my second use.. first last night second right now.. and I just had a temperature spike... went to go as what was wrong and it seems as though the probe went bad... internal temp of pork is 50f but probe continues to climb thru 200... update... this company is out standing, as they have rushed me a new one. Therefore I am bumping up to five stars! As stated previously I do love the product and am beyond satisfied with my purchase. Thank you.

Good concept, quality is crap. Ordered one and tried it within a day. One of two probes failed within 20 minutes, the other stayed working. Returned and ordered a replacement. Didn't get to use it until the return window was closed. First use, same thing. One probe good but the other jumped from 100 degrees to 500 degrees. So, another bad probe but I can't return. I guess the probes can't handle the heat of a bbq.Update 5/3/18 - Seller sent me a replacement unit. I had not contacted them but they must have saw my first negative review. I have to compliment them for good customer service. I will try the replacement unit to see if the probes are any better. One star now upped to 3 star due to customer service.

I bought this because of the bluetooth capability. So many other brands have a separate unit to carry around with you. That is so old school! In any case, it was easy to set up and connected to the free iPhone app without issue. I used it once and had some issues with the temperature range. I set it to 130 low and 135 high. For whatever reason the alarm went off on my cell phone every 5 minutes to say the temperature was outside of my range as the meat warmed up. I could not figure out how to turn off this alarm. On top of this, the next day when I tried to use it, the unit would not turn on. Tried new batteries, etc. to no avail. I will be returning the unit and write it off as defective and will request a replacement.Update on Jan. 22, 2018 - I requested a replacement, the vendor asked me to verify an ID number of the defective unit and within a few days was sent a replacement device. Works like a charm. I tested the accuracy with boiling water and it was consistently within 1-2 degrees. I also used it to test the actual temperature of my old range which revealed how inaccurate the range temperature setting is. Then this past weekend, I used it with a pork tenderloin. The tenderloin was perfect at 145 degrees. So convenient to have Bluetooth capability so I monitored the meat temperature from the other side of the house. It also graphically displays the temperature change over time on my iPhone which is very cool.The customer service and follow up were both excellent. Therefore I am changing my rating from 3 stars to 5!

I am a novice meat smoker, so I purchased this thermometer to help me keep track of the progress of my smoking progress. I love it! I can put it in my meat, put it in the smoker, set one of the presets on my phone, then go of and do something else until an alarm goes off to let me know that it is finished. I get all sorts of compliments on how hard I have worked smoking the meat when I take it to work with me to feed my office crew, and of course, I do not correct them; however, without this thermometer, it would be a lot of work running in and out of the house checking a traditional thermometer. I would like to eventually get the other four probes so I can do more meats at once, but for now, I am happy with what I have. Thanks!

enjoyed this for a while.. I think I got 3 uses out of it before it kept reading 536f no matter what the actual temp was.. to be fair though, it was dropped numerous times before the last use, kept falling off the fridge, magnet is tiny and on the battery cover so doesn't hold well.. good for setting on a BBQ pit and not worrying about knocking it over but bad for leaving on the fridge till you need it.gave it 4 stars because I think it would've been fine if i didn't keep dropping it..oh and i got like 50ft before my phone would lose connection so don't go too far..

One of the sensors messed up only after using about 5 times. otherwise this is a great product. I will buy more sensors and keep using this unit.Changing this back to 5 stars for the customer service. I just received a replacement unit. Only one probe went bad but this company sent me a new unit with new probes(different style) hopefully will last longer then the original ones.Thank you! I will do business with you in the future. The unit would not display any temperatures. See attached picture of screen. I could get the unit to connect via Bluetooth, but the app didn't show any temperatures either. No directions or manual included. I went to the Habor website, and this product isn't even listed. The "Contact Us" screen is blank, so there's no way to get in touch with customer service. Not even an address. Sounds like a shady company to me. Can't believe this is an Amazon recommended product. The probes are nice and sharp and good for poking holes in the meat, though, so I'll give it one star.Update: 2/15/18 They sent me a replacement. Powered it up and both probes displayed 300 degrees Celsius. Tried to connect via Bluetooth, and the unit would not connect. Removed the batteries and put in the first unit to make sure there wasn't a problem with my phone's Bluetooth, and it connected fine (but still wouldn't display any temperatures at all). Put the batteries back in the replacement unit, and then it would not even power up. Tried contacting the seller by replying to the email they had sent me and got no response. Will be buying from a different manufacturer.

did an excellent job of giving me accurate temps for my thanksgiving smoked turkey without having to lift the lid on my bbq. My only complaint is that the company doesn't recommend leaving in a closed oven for a long time. What's the use then? I forgoed the warning and left it in for the entire time and the bird came out just perfect. Best turkey I've had in my entire life, not to mention everyone in attendance saw me checking the thermostat on my phone and thought it was so super cool.
