I clothed my iPhone 11 with a knockoff case a few years ago, and even though it looks identical to an OtterBox, it was not. The biggest issue: slipperiness. Every time I dropped it -- and I dropped it a lot -- I got a break in the glass. After two years, my phone was toast. My new phone is wearing the OtterBox Defender XT, and it already feels so much better in my hand. The grippy rubber sides and the raised buttons all help keep it securely in my hand. I also appreciate that there's a hole in the left bottom corner for a lanyard, so I can put the phone around my neck while skiing and feel secure about it when using on the ski lift. I did find it challenging to put the case on - you'll definitely want to search youtube for the video that shows how to remove the front frame before inserting the phone, because it's not intuitive. And getting the rubberized exterior around the frame was a challenge! But it looks very well-defended at this point.

MagSafe and tough. A little tricky to get on, but worth it.

I had a case that didn’t protect my iPhone and I had to have it repaired. The back glass shattered. The old case had no grip for me because my hands are always dry. This otterbox case has good grip around the edges! It feels secure! It was difficult to put on my iPhone but even with a screen protector and an outer lens protector I was able to get it on there! I’m so happy to have a grippy otterbox case again! Yayyy!

This case feels sturdy and nice. The only downside is people can’t hear me on the phone unless they are on speaker.

The actual otter box looks just like the picture. It is very durable and has prevented damage to my phone many times. It is a little bulky but rest assured, your phone is well protected. The rubber performs well and doesn’t swell like some others. It keeps its fit and color. Easy to install and open for periodic cleaning. This is a great investment to protect your phone.

Some have said it’s hard to put on. I found using a simple butter knife to seal the case cover under the rear cover worked without issue, made it easy. Mag safe works without issue. Is the back slippery? Yup, but the sides are grippy. It looks nice, so far no issues. I would buy it again.
