Daiwa Tatula SV TWS Low Profile Reels

I have always purchased cheaper reels ($80-$120) and wanted to see if price made much difference. It does with this reel. I make further cast and next to no backlash and the smoothness is unbelievable. I will definitely get me another one or two soon. As time goes by the more I use this reel (I have several) but this one has become my absolute favorite. My son and I were fishing with pretty strong winds and I found myself casting into the wind with great distance and zero backlash. I will be replacing other reels with this one!!!

Reel is as advertised. Smooth retrieve and very accommodating for casting. East adjustment for the brakes and spool tension. What could be better is line capacity, but the pros outweighs the cons. If you went a mid-high tier baitcaster this is a amazing one to start with. With the higher speed 8.1 top water is easy and you can always slow it down when needed. The TWS system really does help the spool straighten up after cast and retrieve. I know because I've spooled it poorly before. Another great feature of this is the size of the reel. Small yet light and also well built. No rattles or loose parts. If you want durable and easy to use this is an amazing one to get in your arsenal.

I’ve had this reel for 5 years. I practically use it every day with no issues. Very smooth cast and easy to set brake for different lure weights.

I always saw the value in this reel‘s performance, but the other day I did something I’d been meaning to do for awhile.I’ve got the reel on a Dobyns Fury 733c rod,spooled with 20 lb. Sufix 832 braid with a 12 lb fluoro leader tied with an FG knot.I tied on a 4/0 Gamagatsu Superline EWG worm hook, and set up a 5” Senko Texas rigged weightless. I stood in the driveway and made a cast with no wind, set the rod down and measured the distance.That Weightless 5” Senko traveled 86 feet. And I duplicated that cast several times within a few inches. That’s a monster cast, and I believe there are guys out there doing better than that.This reel is as good as advertised.

Great quality and product

Best reel I have. Crazy smooth. Great backlash control and excellent distance even with very light lures. Good bait caster for skipping baits too. Had mine for almost 2 years and works just as well as when it was brand new. Low maintenance. I have used reels by other brands that cost just as much but this is by far my favorite.

Man is it a beaut. love everything about it looks feel casting is unreal you can tell you have a top notch reel in you hand. i have it paired with a st croix avid x MHF and its the best set up i've ever held. Just ordered another 1 the 7.3.1 have the 8.1. for the money best reel out right now. They are amazing i have revo sx lews mb tourment. They dont hold water to the sv tw.

Excellent quality reel. Smooth, quiet and solid reel that casts a long way. Brake and drag are top-notch.
