I would look elsewhere. This is an enterprise class drive and is more suitable for computers.

Will it work with older usb2 and w10 and w7 ?

Definitely works well with USB2 with correct lead, albeit to that speed of course. Regarding rest of question, I use a Mac. But presumably you just re format the drive to work with Windows OS. Check first though!

do they have cooling fans in and therefore make a noise all the time?
