Hot, hot, hot!
My install was easy because the plumber installed after he ran the gas line for the fireplace. This thing kicks out the heat, even on low. It heats my 1600 sq ft house quickly. I'm very happy with this fireplace.

Need to use You Tube to finish installing .
The installation was very straightforward . The only problem was not sufficient instructions on log placement. Also I had to refer to You Tube to set up the remote .The set is what I had expected as far as looks and performance .Very happy with the purchase of this log set .

Works great
My main heat for my house has gone out, and I am in NO RUSH to get it fixed because I have this. When first firing up, it smells a little of natural gas, but after 20 seconds that's gone. Helps to have a ceiling fan since the heat with the flue closed goes straight to the ceiling. On high, it more than heats my entire 2600 sq ft home. I needed to set some fans set up to get that heat out of the room with the fireplace, but since I like to sleep in a cool bedroom, it's perfect. Even on low I can't keep this on overnight. It gets too warm in the house. I have 2 carbon monoxide detectors, with a ppm readout. They have never shown anything other than 0 ppm. For a while I ran this without the logs in place, and the flame would go out after a few hours seemingly randomly. I would also get the sputtering sound someone else mentioned, but with the logs in place, perfect. I had to buy a new remote. Not sure what the problem was, so I took a guess, and with a working remote it works great! There is a lot of air heat that comes out of this, I removed my wooden mantel for safety reasons, but there is also radiant heat. Radiant heat is glorious, just glorius. I should have bought the one with the thermostat remote though, since this is what heats my house now.

Nice addition
Overall it is a nice addition to the house, looks pretty.. here are my thoughts..1. Easy install, of course the older pipes took some time to take out before installing the unit2. I missed the instructions on how to install the logs, didn't see the instructions, but got it looking nice3. Love the look4. The remote has 2 buttons, Hi/On and Low/Off.. basically you hold down either button and on grill the dial jogs around until it reaches the flame level.. I would say if you are trying to save some money, the remote is nice but not really needed5. Does have a smell when first installed, I have only used it about 1hr, so we will see how that goesBuy it, worth it, no more ash to empty or logs to bring up to the living room.. easy..10/22/2022 - No more smell, works well, and still gorgeous.. my wife loves it.

Fit and finish look of this LogSet is excellent
The media could not be loaded. I went to a fireplace store and looked at some actual working Log set’s, the only set that came close to the Peterson Real Fyre Log Set that I purchased and was over 300 dollars more and did not look as good in my opinion, really love the convenience of the remote control with the variable flame technology

Warranty replacement takes a while, but it is a nice log set.
Very nice looking log set. We enjoy it. We have a piece of log that was incorrectly cut and we are having to wait an extended period of time for a replacement, so we are not happy with that; but it is a really nice set to have.

Be careful and check CO levels if running as unvented log.
I like the looks of the log and ease of installation. I would buy again. I installed it myself into a living room fireplace with a chimney vent. If I run the log 2 to 3 hours with the fireplace damper closed it will set off my CO detector with a reading of 30 ppm. If the damper is opened a slight amount no CO is detected. Be careful and check CO levels if running the log as unvented.
