My kid has been bugging me for a while since he saw 3D printers. But those gadgets are way too expensive and practically usable for a 8 year old boy. This 3D pen come as a great alternative. It took a while for him to get used to the pen in the beginning, (a lot of mess). Now he can use it to draw some of his favorite dinosaurs in various colors. The pen is light and safe, as filament immediately cools down. No need to worry about burns and fires. It will not stick on carpet or other furniture, which is a great benefit for parents. :-)It's a great buy. Although I have to buy more filament refills as my kid uses them a lot. :-)

Well this afternoon after all the Christmas rush and he is home sick from school I finally allowed him to open this box and was going to enjoy an afternoon creating with this really cool pen....NOT THERE IS NO AC ADAPTER IN THE BOX....DISAPPOINTED BOY.

My grand daughter lives to paint, draw and anything else to do with art. She will love this.

I bought this for my daughter and I let her play with it rather than me, after all , she's the artist in the family.The pen is great although we're still learning it I'm sure we'll love it even more. She YouTubed it for ideas.We found that in order to get the actual 3D image we had to go over the image a few times.She wrote her name with it and when you pick it up it's a hard plastic but looks like thread because it's so thin. When we did the Mickey Mouse it was much nicer and thicker.We'll end up buying extra supplies and watching more videos on how to make cooler things.
