Simple to use and carry
I am impressed. This does exactly what is advertised. With its metal cable within a rubber coating, it does not abrade my chrome while still protecting my helmet from theft. I store it in my armor jacket's pocket when not in use.Shown on my 2020 Royal-Enfield Interceptor 650, we see there is plenty of cable to secure the helmet to the handlebar while resting the helmet on my mirror.I would not store my helmet this way, over night, but for remotely working, at a cafe, it's a great way to save my table space.I highly recommend this device for what it is. I tried some frame-mounted solutions and frankly those jiggle loose, over time, and risk falling in my bike's mechanisms. This device is cheaper and simpler.

Very nice to secure helmet!
The only dislike I have with this product is it's very hard to see the numbers, black against chrome or chrome numbers against a black background would be nice!

Seems sturdy enough but…
Looks cool and seems sturdy but I followed the instructions and set a new code. Now I can’t open it with the old OR new code so it’s in the trash.

Protection against helmet theft, but could utilize 4 digit lock instead of 3
I typically keep my helmet in the under seat compartment when parked. So it's out of sight and would require someone to suspect it's in there, and then to pry open the seat to get to it.But sometimes when I carry a passenger I'm forced to store at least one helmet (I NEVER ride without a helmet and I require all passengers/riders to do the same.) This device will allow me to connect the D-ring of the helmet to the luggage rack. So to take the helmet a thief would have to defeat the lock, defeat the luggage rack or cut the D-ring off the helmet (rendering the helmet pretty much useless.)Defeating the lock by force would be pretty difficult, as would be defeating the luggage rack. If someone cuts the D-ring they're probably not as much interested in the helmet as they are just depriving you of it.My one concern about this lock is that the manufacturer chose to use a 3-digit combination lock. Sure, that's 1,000 possible combinations, so unlikely that they'll hit yours, at least not quickly. But adding just one more digit would have increased the possible combinations to 10,000. My philosophy is that anti-theft devices are not intended to prevent theft, but rather to prevent attempted theft. In other words, the more inconvenient acquisition of the target is, the more likely the criminal is going to move on. If a thief can check a different combination every 2 seconds they can roll through 1,000 combinations in about 8 minutes 20 seconds. With just 1 more digit that goes to nearly an hour and a half. And remember - they'll hit your combination almost undoubtedly before they reach 1,000 total available combinations. A thief might devote 5 minutes to trying a lock, but less likely that they'll devote 50 minutes. At some point someone is going to become suspicious or you're going to return. So if I were to make a suggestion it would be to use a 4-digit combination lock to make this a bit more inconvenient to a potential thief.

Lightweight
Small, lightweight. I was worried about the thickness of the cord so I shaved some plastic off. There was a thicker metal wire in there than I thought. You could still cut it with hand tools so this would be best for a relatively safe parking spot. I wouldn't leave it overnight or anything. It's light and small enough to keep in your pocket or bag so that is a plus.

Will deter the quick thief
Nice little lock for your helmets. It beats carrying around your helmet around town or park. One thing I will comment on this, it will stop the common thief walking around looking for a quick steal, but will not deter a professional thief. Seems that it would take a person with some wire cutters to just snip the wire. I still recommend this lock as it seems to be efficient for a quick run to store or restaurant to leave your helmets. Changeable combination is a plus, would like to see two options to buy. One for one helmet and a longer one for two helmets. Just my two cents

Doesn’t work.
This is a good idea but opens on any number you have it on. I will be returning this and hopefully I just got a defective unit. If so I’ll update. Revised: finally got this to work the little reset lever on the back not only move up but has to be move over to get this to change the code. Four stars because instructions do not explain that. Anyhow good to go.

Small, bright, quality helmet lock.
This small helmet lock is a much better alternative to carrying your helmet with you everywhere or leaving it and taking the risk of it being stolen. I like that the lock is bright and visible to deter theft. Instructions to set the combination were easy to follow, I took a photo of the instructions in case I need to change the code later on. It works well and I can carry it in my jacket pocket without an issue. I would have liked the security cable to be a bit thicker but with it being a steel braid It should be strong enough to deter a thief without heavy tools.
