BIOSUPERFOOD F3 Micro Algae Forte (180 veggie capsules)

FYI, BioSuperfood BSF F3 and F2 are made by BioAge (canada), and distributed by intermediaries such as supplement retailers; you can find it online if not here. (I don't get it thru amazon, not available here, and I like my current supplier.) Regarding algae supplements: I specifically researched for very pure, uncontaminated nutritional blue-green algae, without heavy metals and environmental contaminants, and NOTE - WHICH blue-green algae are used is critical. Some are bad for you, some are good, and some are much better. Some spirulinas are very good nutrition and physical support to aid fighting disease conditions. Some are not. There are many variants of each species. There are many growers and vendors, and they differ a lot. Also, chlorella is different, not for nutritional support, and is used purely to aid detox (and it's a good thing in its own right). .....So, I ended up choosing this brand of bluegreen algae, which is grown with pure glacial water, in tanks, with strict quality controls, and after decades of study to select the best species and strains. (or whatever the correct terminology is). By using this every morning I have experienced a massive reduction in inflammatory pain from the systemic/chronic illness am fighting, and increased physical and mental energy - a major help...have more productivity on average than before, and lots less pain. So anyway, these particular blue-green and red algae were selected over decades of work from thousands of variants within the species; and grown with unusualy pure and controlled conditions. Dr. Kiriac developed them because he lost 5 family members to cancer and he studied cellular nutrition and biochemistry and medicine, then algaes, to make a difference for health. He became a global expert on algae (and best ways to raise it, and which ones are best for nutritional and medical value). BIoAge (in Canada) is the result of his work; they make 2 product families - BioPreparation and BioSuperFood, which have different proportions of the selected algaes to answer different needs with humans and animals, and has no other ingredients (no fillers, no dyes, etc.). Don't take it in the evening, as it may energize you and keep you awake - use daytime, not night. For industry/health context there's a good article at algaeindustrymagazine "Curing cancer with algae – one man’s quest" (2014) ... PS - start very gradually (the digestion needs to get used to it); also it helps detox while providing nutritional support, so if your mouth gets dry for a few hours after taking it, generally this indicates detox - just drink lots of water and over time that stops happening... Work the dose slowly up to the target daily dose, which varies by individual body and condition, and whether human or animal. The info above will help. Excellent for aiding detox of heavy metals as well as illness support. I initially worked up to 6 or 8 of these pills per day for aiding illness symptoms, but then as I improved over time due to a multi-pronged approach and good integrative MD's care), I worked down to just 4 needed to keep pain at bay and help energy. ....In response to another review here complaining it didn't fix a physical illlness - this is not an antibiotic - it is highly SUPPORTIVE, nutritional, and ANTI-INFLAMMATORY - that's why it aids chronic illness and/or inflammatory conditions. I was initially attracted to the Biosuperfood supplements by claims of curing an ailment that I have suffered with for years. With no other known solutions, I jumped at the opportunity and followed the protocol to the T. Unfortunately 8 months and $1,000+ later, I haven't noticed any results. And it's become more clear that this is just well-marketed, high priced snake oil. When looking at other algae supplements, this stuff is 10x more expensive and makes ambiguous claims of overall health. I wanted to believe this was the real deal, but I now believe I was a sucker to just another 'herbal superfood'.

BIOSUPERFOOD f3, gave me a small feeling of energy. But the thing I first noticed was stomach gas, and then the next feeling was hunger for myself and started to notice the same reaction with another family member. I began to rummage through cabinets and the refridgerator like a ravaged person. I even got up late in the middle of the night to find food. The next morning my son and I went on an errand that ended with a trip to the grocery store to fill the cart with food, more food! My stomach felt as if I had several bowls of beans and it was rumbling and rolling all day. I think about food all the time and want to eat eall the time. I rarely feel satisfied, anytime of the day and sometimes wake up hungry at night within hours after taking biosuperfood. If I took this for a six months I would gain a great deal of weight as my pants are already feeling much more snug in the waist and I started it four days ago.

I'm still trying to decide on how I feel about it. I'm going to up the dose and see if that makes a difference. I'm currently only taking one capsule a day.

I'd recommend getting tested to find if your body agrees with F1, F2, or F3.The product is potent and fabulous w/ the higher the number of the product...BUT not if your body doesn't match it. I've tried all of F1, F2, & F3, but seem to operate best on F1!Very worth looking into this product line.

Once I increased my dosage and was taking it regularly for a couple of weeks I noticed a definite increase in my overall energy level. I have a feeling most people who don't rate this product highly give up on it too soon because there can be some minor "discomforts" at first. This is usually a sign that your body is in some sort of detoxification mode and could really use this BioSuperfood! The first time I took it I had a loss of appetite which went away quickly. My sister noticed a slight headache when she first began taking it, but that also went away.I have a disease of the endocrine system and before and after bloodwork levels of have improved since taking the BioSuperfood(cortisol, DHEAS, etc.)I definitely recommend this product. Although you may not experience any detox symptoms at all it's best to start off gradually (1 pill per day for a few days then increase) to minimize any potential symptoms.

I had to stop taking the f2 supplements after over a month due to persistent headaches and a general feeling of unwell in my head.

I am giving this product to my cats. I have one cat with chronic kidney disease. I have been giving 1 capsule every day for 1 year and a half. The vet is amazed how well she has been doing however her disease. Her fur is shiny and her teeth the vet said "are beautiful".My cat is full of energy.My other cat has IBD and also I am giving her the same product.I never see any side effect. On the contrary, I am seeing that improve their health.I recommend to give this product any sick pet. There is another similar product: BioPreparation especially for pets, but I prefer to give to my cats the human version.According with the results I am seeing in my pets, I am thinking about trying the product for myself. The only cons is the price.My pets only take one capsule every day. I would need at least 8 or 9 every day....
