Stylish little device
So far the device has been great. I love the look, it's light weight and reminds me of a small remote control but stylish.Use: I actually buy these mostly to listen to sports radio at work since cell phones eat up data. Before this device I would use the ipod nano but both the screen and the audio jack would easily obtain damage.Honestly this device is much more affordable and it's early but so far no issues. The reception has been extremely clear. Navigation is effortless, especially controlling the volume. So I would definitely recommend this to someone who is still interested in mp3 players.

Changed to : Excellent customer service!!!
Edit 2: Kingtop contacted me since my MP3 player was still under it's 1-year warranty and sent me a replacement player. Hopefully, this one will last longer than my first player. This company has excellent customer service and I received my replacement player within 1 week of agreeing to a replacement player. Looking forward to having a working MP3 player again!EDIT 1: The last two months it has stopped playing randomly during my bike ride. I get home and have to reset it with a pin. I've also been having problems with the power button not wanting to turn it off/on or go into standby mode. When I want to turn it on, I have to hold the power button for a minute or two before it will turn on. To go into standby mode or turn off, I have to just let it do it on it's own. With the fact that the bluetooth interface is horrible, I WOULDN'T BUY THIS PLAYER AGAIN! Can't wait for it to die so that I can justify buying a new one.The mp3 player has excellent sound and the earbuds that come with it are excellent. I would have given it 5 stars but the interface with a bluetooth headphone is horrible. If you don't plan on using a bluetooth headphone, get this player. It has excellent features that include an FM radio, stopwatch, alarm, ebook,, microphone, equalizer, variable speed playback, volume limit, bookmark, sleep timer, 8GB on the player and up to 128 KB microSD card (not included). Unfortunately, the files listed on the SD card are not in alphabetical order but in the order that they were placed on the card.Using the headphone jack, it returns to the last song played and you can start up right from there. Using a bluetooth headset, once you go into the bluetooth menu and connect to your headset, you can choose Music Playing but you get the message N/A. You need to check what song you were listening to at the main menu- Music, then go into bluetooth, connect to your headset, and then search for that song. I am disappointed bc the mp3 player that I have used for years but then finally died was able to track where you left off no matter how you chose to listen--headphone jack or bluetooth.Regarding the bluetooth interface, it is horrible. When using the bluetooth for the albums saved on the player, they show up alphabetically by song, i.e., all of the first songs on albums are listed first, then all of the second songs, etc. You won't be able to choose an album when using a bluetooth headset. The playlists are easy to add and remove songs/albums but the playlists are not accessible from the bluetooth menu.Again, an excellent mp3 player to use with wired headphones/earbuds but not for use with a bluetooth headset. This left me disappointed as I was specifically looking for a player that would work better than this one with my bluetooth headphones. Since it came with such excellent earbuds, I will keep it and use the earbuds with it.

Sounds great, touchy though, bad earbuds update: battery died 5 months later
Has a great sounding mp3 decoder, much better than my older RCA/Sound Design mp3 player I've been using for years. However, I have two gripes, the earbuds are muddy sounding and terrible and it's touchy. I have some premium JVC earbuds that blow the stock ones out of the water, and a direct connection to the aux in on my car sounds like a real, genuine hi-fi with playback of 320 kbps mp3's. The second gripe is how touchy the front panel is. Because of the unit's diminutive size, my fingers manage to touch all kinds of things on the front panel without meaning to, making operation frustrating and extremely delicate. My hands aren't too terribly big, but I do find myself wishing these were tactile press buttons instead of touch ones. For the price, though, it really sounds great. The menus don't make sense with having to scroll side to side, instead of up and down, the way the menus are displayed on the screen. You'd think the software developers would have made the buttons to follow the direction everything is on the screen, it makes it very counter-intuitive. The EQ needs a bass booster setting instead of messing with sliders, but the EQ works well, though the boost/cut steps are a little crude (I'm guessing maybe 1 dB increments instead of .25dB increments) .25dB steps would make it easier to sonic-ally "tune". I find it does need a bass lift to sound normal on the car stereo. Also, I can't figure out how to get it louder than just 31 on the volume. The volume limiter in the menu appears to do nothing to open this up to allow it to be louder, when I press the menu item for the volume limiter, it does nothing and I want to disable it. My car input needs a lot of volume to play well, without having to turn up the main stereo volume on the car real LOUD, so more output from this unit would be nice. BTW, the 31 volume on full-sized, enclosed headphones is comfortable-to-very loud, it sounds terrific on my Sony MDR Pros that I use in studio. I still haven't figured out how to put a larger card in it for more music storage, but I'm a bit of a tech guy, so I'm sure I'll figure it out. The manual seems to be a bit "all-over-over-the-map" to read, but I'll just have to be more patient and read it more carefully to figure out more stuff about it. But, the only reason I'm keeping it is because the mp3 playback engine sounds very good. Most of my mp3's are created with genuine Fraunhaufer or LAME codecs, so, it's nice to hear a playback engine that is faithful to these mp3 encoding schemes. My RCA player wasn't so sharp in this regard. The RCA unit sounded like it slopped its way through mp3 playback, even on 320kbps files. I know a lot of people aren't using mp3 as much any more, but the vast majority of my music library is in that format, so I'm kind of stuck with it. At least this player seems to play cleanly and brilliantly, for what is probably the lousiest compressed audio format ever invented. So this unit gets 6 stars for mp3 playback, even if there are lots of other things about it I don't like. Oh, and five stars for the button layout, it's familiar to me and very similar to the RCA player layout, even if it is terribly touchy. Update: Battery died 5 months later.
