The Original Tarot, Deck of 78 Cards

As the title says, I love these cards. The first deck of cards from another seller were VERY thick. So thick to the point you couldn’t shuffle them like a regular deck and had to side shuffle, and the back was not symmetrical so you could tell which cards were reversed which led me to look for a different deck. I almost bought the “standard” one from US Game Systems but I hated that each card was essentially branded with that on it. Which then led me to these cards. I love that they do not have any extra wording or logos on the card face. The size of the cards is PERFECT. They are smooth and super easy to shuffle. The artwork and coloring is gorgeous and the cards are very easy to read. Couple of notes: other reviewers mentioned being upset these cards aren’t authentic tarot because it comes with different versions of “The Lovers” - these are simply ADDITIONAL cards. They did not remove 2 cards to keep the deck at 78. If you don’t like the extra lovers cards, take them out. It’s really that simple. If you know you’re going to be doing a reading a LGBTQ couple, simply swap it out for the appropriate card. No one is forcing you to use the additional Lovers cards. I also saw reviews saying the Minor arcana don’t have words which kind of made me chuckle because the original artwork by Pamela Coleman-Smith did not contain words. ONLY the major arcana should have words. Overall this is a fantastic deck and I am super happy that I ordered it.

Gorgeous, vivid, clear, aligned, very high quality. a little thin compared to some of the very premium decks that I've had my hands on; but still premium and nicely laminated and nicely textured. I thought there were extra lover cards, there are and they're supposed to be there. male female, female female, male male. You will only need one in your deck for the person you're reading for. this was a surprise to me as I thought there were extras, there are but they're supposed to be there. I would definitely buy this again if I had a do over. I've had my hands on a lot of different decks from a lot of different sources and these are really nice.

Had these for 6 years now, and they are great! It’s small enough to shuffle through easily without any awkward handling. The images still read off great. The cards are extremely durable and have barely dented around the edges. Definitely a deck worth getting!

Feels great in your hands. Linen finish is perfect. The cards are easy to shuffle, and the colors are absolutely incredible. They are the perfect size. The cards are easy to use for both beginner and advanced readers.

I have bought many RWS decks and this is one of the best I have gotten so far. Colors are nice. They've managed to throw in some interesting and different shades throughout. The detail is nice and they have a great feel to them. If you always had a hard time seeing the King of Pentacles robe because of overprinting then you will appreciate how he looks now. I'm cool with the backs. Nice and simple. The booklet is thick and it will have to go along in with the cards so not to make extra room but hey, I'm Impressed!

This tarot deck has queer representation! For the Lovers card, they have three options; two women, two men, and a woman and a man. I found that out after buying the deck and was very happy about it. The deck is also easy to shuffle, not terribly stiff.

Really good deck! I was looking for a deck that I can use with the clients, a good one. I like the quality - so far the best one I've had. Texture - nice, perfect size, and I wanted the colors to be bright - that's why I bought this one. Overall - I'm happy with it, 10/10. + you get 2 extra The Lovers cards - that are LGBT. You'll see on the picture 2 women or 2 men - nice addition even if you won't use them. The traditional The Lovers card also included, no worries.

Die Modernisierung ist gelungen, gute Qualität der Illustrationen, ohne den alten Charme einzubüssen. Schönes Kartenmaterial, karten etwas größer als normale Spielkarten. Rückseiten auch ansprechend. Anleitung ist ein kleines Taschenbuch in kartengrösse. Für mich hat es sich gelohnt, etwas mehr auszugeben.

I love the linen cardstock and the colouring on this deck. It’s a beautiful version of the RWS. Shuffles amazingly.
