Simply beautiful
The media could not be loaded. I have several hydroponics systems including a couple of areogardens. This is the first time that I have tried one with fish in the bottom. It looks cool, but I was concerned that the plants wouldn't do as well in this compared to the others. Thankfully, they seem to be doing a little better than the regular hydroponics and I have some really cute fish to watch, too. It holds 12 pods which is about the same amount as the others. If you want to use it for small herbs you can probably fill all of the pods, but bigger plants will need more space. If you want to use one or two pods, but leave the others empty, please remember to cover the holes. This prevents alge from growing in the water. I like to use mine to start off my outdoor plants. It saves a ton of money because I can plant seeds, wait for them to grow into a starter plant size, and then transfer them outside. If you have never used hydroponics before, you will be surprised by how quickly they grow. I think that mine grow about 50% faster than the ones that I start in potting soil.It includes the baskets, grow sponges and nutrients for the water. You will need to add the seeds, fish, fish food, and aquarium gravel. If you aren't sure if you want bother with the fish or if they accidentally die, you can just use it as a normal hydroponics set up. The only drawback that I can see is that it takes up more room than my others, but this doesn't bother me at all. It looks simply beautiful for with colorful fish and the lush plants on top.

Lack instructions
Instructions are lacking. Goes over mostly how set up top portion. Doesn't indicate plugging in 1 cord. Just assume plug into last spot. Doesn't have any Instructions for fish tank portion/ don't explain pump. Can't attach pump to bottom notch area, tube to short, not even sure pump working. Claims light for aquarium but can't get to work. Does have double Instructions for the plant food. Not sure how works as a symbiotic hydroponic system, seems plant tank and fish tank separate and don't actually work together. Operating Instructions unclear/ don't make sense/ no troubleshooting. Plants sprouted after 2days and look good. Difficult to setup fish tank cause plant top part doesn't allow much room to maneuver. Lighting is super bright. Originally setup in bedroom. No go, not able sleep w light. Moved setup. Didn't shake/drop or anything, now can't get to work. Has power, power light lites up and does beep. But nothing working. Contact seller. Took 3days reply. Just offered refund. Still waiting for that.

NOT an Aquaponic System
As many reviewers have noted, this is NOT an integrated aquaponic system, but rather a mini aquarium with a hydroponic system on top. Some major issues to be aware of:The aquarium system is not usable. The filtration consists of water being pumped into a small separated container and going through just a few sponges, and your water does not get properly filtered, killing any fish you may have had. (I only tried with a few shrimp, who are traditionally very hardy, and nearly all of them died). The hydroponic system (for the plants) seems to work as advertised, but as mentioned, it does not use the water from the aquarium, which pretty much defeats the purpose of this system. There are some minor inconveniences to using/setting the system, but again, this isn't properly equipped to actually support the aquarium system.-Setup instructions are unclear (although honestly, not that difficult to figure out)-Tube for aquarium water pump is JUST too short for it to be placed in the designated spot (had to go through multiple frustrating attempts to figure this out)-Only one small access point to the aquarium, meaning any cords for aquarium heaters, air pumps, etc. need to go through this hole, AND you need to feed your fish through that hole, or lift the entire system (not heavy, but just messy) every time you feed your fishMainly, it's the aquarium aspect that is woefully lacking for this product. Otherwise, the lighting, automation (pump/lighting), and overall hydroponic setup do appear to be relatively as advertised. If you do end up purchasing it (or have), you should either plan to have NO fish, or modify the system by finding a way to 1) get the water pumped from the aquarium to actually go to the plants and 2) properly filter the water before it goes back into the aquarium.

Great
This hydroponic system is easy to set up by just one person and start enjoying right away. We are using it to grow lettce, arugula, bok choy, and thyme and they all look lush and taste delicious. The machine pretty much runs itself and you just have to remember to refill the water when it runs low.

Broke in 2 weeks.
I got this as a Christmas present and set it up right away. Plants are growing and I have a dragon scale betta in the tank. I came home today and some how the top plant tank has dropped water into the fish tank. I don’t see any leaks in the tank. The only thing I can think of was the pump from the top sprayed into the fish filter reservoir. So now my fish will likely die. I tried to find a number to call and I can not find any contact information on any of the paperwork I received in the box.

Confusing but the Video and Seller are Helpful
So this is very confusing to set up. The instructions are very vague and now I have extra pieces that I'm not sure what they are for. Also, this does not come with seeds; it comes with dirt but not seeds. I'll try reviewing again when I start actually getting produce. Right now I'm just very confused. After trying again, I found the Video to be very helpful to find where all the pieces go. Also, the seller reached out to me and offered assistance. My growing system is on and working great. It's only been a few days and my flowers are starting to bloom. Once everything gets put together and working it really is a cool product. The instructions should be worked on to make it clearer for people who are putting one of these together for the first time.
