Excellent!
Well researched book on recent history of the middle east regarding equal rights for women, mixed with personal experiences of the author living in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Difficult to put down the book.

Much to admire, bravely & strongly written
While the tone of the book, which rages against unfair prosecution & treatment of women right from the beginning, is a bit much at first, one cannot argue with her experience. She exposes all the things that should be exposed, and re-kindled in me the feminist anger I had in university. Thank goodness for gutsy warriors like her who speak of these outrageous inequalities despite risk to themselves. Women of all ages & religions should read this book.

Superb, inspiring, enlightening
Excellent writing that inspires and informs and shocks. I have long understood that our sisters in North Africa suffer terribly under the double whammy of oppressive regimes and misogynist cultures but learned about the brave girls and women who are saying "no more!" What courage.
