​The Fisher-Price Revolve Swing

We loved this for two months straight and then tried to turn it on this evening and it will not power up the swinging motor. The nature sounds and music work fine but when we go to press the button for the swinging motion, the indicator light flashes red and the entire swing turns off. We relied on this with our newborn and are extremely disappointed and downright shocked it only worked for such a short period of time before the motor died and for such a pricey cost. The return window for this product for me closed yesterday which is also frustrating. For this price range- definitely hunt for a more reliable swing.

This is a great swing. Lots of reviews say the swing stops working after a few months. That happened to me too. Turns out, it’s not the motor going out, but the power cord supplied with the swing under powered it. A new ac cord may solve the problem. It did for us.

This swing is beautiful and it was super nice for the short period of time that it worked. Unfortunately after a few months of light use it will only swing for a few seconds and then in turns off. The electronic reset doesn’t solve the issue. All the other functions work.

The swing broke 4 months after having it. It turns off right when you turn it on. Will not purchase again.

This swing assembled quickly and WOW is this several steps up from what was available for baby swings a few short years ago. How is it better? I'm glad you asked!1. The motion: the most noticeable improvement on every "baby swing" I've seen until now is the gentle, revolving motion rather than the simple back and forth motion. The literature accompanying says this is to simulate the motion of a mother's arms. Awwwww...2. The sounds: back in the baby-swing stone age the swings only made the metallic creaking of the swing going back and forth. THIS swing comes pre-loaded with 16 baby songs and 3 soothing white noises.3. The view: baby looks up at 3 birds that rotate in flight around a mirror that really seems to keep baby's attention.4. The power: the first baby swing I ever owned, no lie, had to be wound up with a handle that wound up a spring. After starting the swinging motion the spring would keep baby going for about 20 minutes, the entire time making the metallic creaking noise as it went back and forth. The next swing was battery powered, which was a step up, but went through batteries. This model just plugs into my wall's AC outlet.

I have this set up in our living room so I can keep an eye out on our newborn while in the kitchen. I love the sound quality of the music, as it is classical soothing melodies that don't sound computer generated. The bassinet has soft padding and straps to secure the baby. There are 'birds' and a mirror above the basket to keep baby entertained. The rocking action has a revolving motion rather than just back and forth, so it feels more natural. It has a really calming effect that can soothes my baby when he gets restless and starts crying. The metal frame is nice and sturdy. That said, I wish the basket wasn't so low to the ground. My 3 yr old is always leaning over it and I'm afraid she'll tip it over. Also, a remote control would be a bonus, as I'd like to be able to start the swing from a distance, while I'm cooking.
