Great Domestic Tool
So far 5 stars. Last week I bought a bissell bolt and it stopped working after 2 uses on bare floors.

Overall Terrible
This vacuum is mostly terrible. The good does not outweigh the bad.Good:1) It looks nice.2) It really does have pretty good suction.Bad:1) The handheld part is very heavy. Heavier than expected. Almost too heavy to reasonably use on a standard size sofa before you're feeling it.2) The whole thing is top heavy, see point #1. Therefore it has to be propped up against something or it will fall over. I didn't let it fall over but I would imagine it's heavy enough to damage the floor and also break itself.3) The small attachment with blue brush is totally useless. The bristles are as soft as a makeup brush so they bend rather than lift anything off.4) The small attachment with flat blue nap does a pretty good job of getting pet hair and lint off smooth fabric. Tried it on a more rough woven footstool and it could not grab the pet hair.Very Bad:1) While the suction is pretty good, the bin is an absolute nightmare to empty. Only one end opens and the rest is screwed shut. You must reach in and try to pick out the bits that get stuck on the side walls, or tap it hard on the outside to dislodge.2) The pole that connects handheld and floor unit is terrible. It was very difficult to get it into each end, and then after waiting for the battery to charge, it took two people to separate the handheld unit from the pole to use it on the sofa. Was even more difficult to take apart to box it back up to ship it back.I should point out I have 1 medium size dog with a very short coat. This was used once, on the sofa which just had superficial hairs on, as she does not usually get on the sofa. It was not a significant amount of hair to pick up. I cannot imagine using this in a house with a long hair dog or several pets.

6) The interchange system for switching the parts around feels cheap and very annoying and difficult to do
I have had this vacuum for about 1 1/2 months now and I'm returning it.Cons: 1) Does not stand by itself. If you stop vacuuming you have to gently lay it on the floor each time. 2) The floor sense mode sometimes randomly turns the roll brushes on/off. 3) The dirt canister needs to be emptied after each use. 4) The dust filter needs to be removed and rinsed clean after every few uses. 5) After a month of use, after running for more than 10 seconds, the unit starting to make a very loud whistling sound. 6) The interchange system for switching the parts around feels cheap and very annoying and difficult to do. I stopped bothering with changing the parts around and went back to my old hand-vac for things like the couch. 7) Battery life was amazing for the first use (maybe 40 minutes). After the first use it was noticeably less.Pros: 1) The battery can be removed and charged separately from the unit. You don't need to hang it out for everyone to see your vacuum like a Dyson.

Game changer Makes vacuuming quick and easy
I knew cordless would be much better but cordless is only part of what makes this so good, Overall lightness and head design make it much more maneuverable. Head pivots and because somewhat smaller it fits in places out other vacuums would require moving furniture After using this, I threw away our upright although it was good. This is just so much easier it makes for more frequent vacuuming since quick and easy. Seems to pick up well. Indicator light shows block when you need to rinse the filter which seems very effective. Will buy second second one next season for vacation home to replace Dyson canister and an upright.Run time is fine. Like that battery recharges off the vacuum since we don’t have outlets in closet to recharge there.

Ok Vaccum
I originally had a one-star review because of the caution light always staying on & a hoover customer service employee telling me there is only a 6-month warranty. Here is the update:WARRANTY is 3 years. The first hoover employee helping for whatever reason told me it was a 6-month warranty but that is only true if the unit was REFURBISHED. I never told the employee it was refurbished so I have no idea why they told me that. Good thing I went with my gut and called back and had another employee that correctly helped me to replace my battery. Only thing is you must pay shipping to send Hoover the bad part. In my case it was the bad battery. However, I got a replacement battery shipped to me at no cost. The battery itself is about $80.00. Battery life on this thing is great and it charges FAST.CAUTION LIGHT drama. I went to an authorized Hoover repair shop and talk with the guy for a bit. I was constantly taking the vacuum apart to try to get the caution light off. The main reason that Caution light stays on is because of the filter that is in the dirt cup release. When you detached the dirt cup release the top of the filter looks great but if you remove the filter the other side is all gross and nasty. You must remove the debris, hair, & wash the filter with soap and let it dry completely. Ever since I have been doing this the caution light goes away. I attached a photo of the filter. I hope this helps everyone. It’s a good vac for light use downstairs on my tile floors.

Not too good.
Buyer beware. This is not the Hoover quality of the past. It seemed frail upon unpacking it from the box. We just figured that it needed to be lightweight. The battery life is good so it gets one star. The biggest complaint is that small amounts of hair get tangled in the venturi triggering the suction alarm and stopping any vacuum. We do not have a pet so this is just small amounts. It is then necessary to disassemble the head completely and try to clear the tangle of hair. This must be done numerous times during vacuuming. This is for hardwood floors. We won't even try it on carpet. It is also a challenge trying to disassemble the extension tube from the vacuum head and the brush head. Takes some work and force. We have finally discontinued using this device after a year of fighting it. It goes in the next garage sale.
