When it works, it's nice
it's incredibly frustrating to drop the first in a series of numbers like this thing does. I'm used to pressing a button and having the computer respond. Now it's PRESS, check if respond, PRESS AGAIN, check, then CONTINUE WITH NEXT NUMBER.NOT A GREAT WORK FLOW FOR ENGINEERINGI also had to prop it up in the back with a big block eraser ~0.5" thk. to get it at the appropriate angle for typing because there's no pull-out feet to change the height as on a keyboard. My last gripe is the placement of the "+" and "-" keys. this does not match any of my other keyboard layouts and it causes some missed presses, especially when I hit the BACKSPACE when I reach for the "-" key.Otherwise, the keys feel great. The wireless makes it nice and portable. This is NOT the keypad you want if every stroke counts.CONTEXT: Purchased to do engineering work (CAD & spreadsheets) with my left hand due to an injury on my right hand that leaves me typing, using the mouse, and performing data entry all left-handed for a while. It's just too far to reach my 10-key on the 104 key mechanical keyboard with the left hand.

This thing is built like a TANK and has amazing key feel
This thing is built like a TANK and has amazing key feel. I loved it from first sight. The occasional laptop user will be very happy with this. Unfortunately, it is NOT 100% accurate for key capture. The first keyed digit in a string of entries sometimes doesn't register. For high speed data entry, this is a deal breaker. The manufacturer has EXCELLENT customer service, were very kind, and promptly shipped me a second unit free of charge when I complained about the issue, but the second unit performed the same. It appears to be an unfortunate design flaw in an otherwise admirable product. I would recommend for anything but intensive data entry use.

Great addition to a smart tv keyboard
I got this for a coworker who preferred to use his own keyboard and mouse. Unfortunately, he shares his computer with at least 2 other coworkers. When I was trouble shooting his computer for another issue, I noticed his non standard keyboard. The coworker does daily spreadsheets, so I thought this would help him and his other coworkers. I like the raised keys, its pretty sturdy and doesn't slide around on the desk. I've honestly only used it for 5 minutes, but I haven't heard complaints from him or the other coworkers. Its nice/more efficient to have a number pad when all you have for numbers are located on the top row of your smart tv keyboard. I have not tried it on a PlayStation or Xbox yet, but this would be handy for those who lock their consoles with a numeric code and don't want to lug a full keyboard around just to enter a numeric password every time.

and thus missed strokes which is really bad when entering lots of data and I have to ...
This works well enough, but I found myself very much not liking the ergonomics of this unit. All keyboards I've ever used are slightly inclined with a stepped profile for the keys to aid ergonomics. This unit is completely flat with all they keys on the exact same, flat profile. For me it results in applying the wrong pressure to keys that a 3-4 millimeters out of place where I expect them, and thus missed strokes which is really bad when entering lots of data and I have to spend a long time finding the mistakes.I also don't like the alternate key configuration. I don't need a calculator button, I don't open the app every 30 seconds, and shifting the minus key down small next to the 9 while having a 1 key sized + is not enjoyable. Its screws with a long training of muscle memory. Otherwise this unit worked well with no problems of the hardware. I'm giving this 3 stars because the customized ergonomics didn't seem well thought out to me.

Very nice little "clickety" KB!
I'm happy with it. It does occasionally drop single numbers, like some have reported. This not because I am hitting the key softly! This probably has to do with being battery powered, and Bluetooth communication spasms. But, so far, it is not so bad I cannot use. If you are doing work for pay, this very rare glitch forces you to examine what you are typing, as in double check. The unit turns itself off, and remains off, for as long as you don't use it. So, I'm expecting battery life to be good. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the battery life hasn't been tested. I probably will not revisit this review, unless the batery life is Bad. If you want to know more about how this is rated in the future, reply to this post.

A nice numpad
I bought this numpad because I had a 60% keyboard and I didn't want to sacrifice a key for another layer. It works pretty well, and it doesn't budge on my desk. I haven't faced the dropped key-presses issue that other reviewers have found. The switches that the numpad came with were some generic brand named "Content." In a general sense, they feel like cheaper Outemu blue switches. I have since swapped them out with more preferable switches.Speaking of, swapping out the switches was not too bad, though there are two prongs that have been bent over which made the swap ever more difficult. Be wary if you decide to swap. It's good to note that there is a metal back plate though. The stabilizers are also interesting, a sort of clip-on Cherry style. It's also worth noting that I've observed the numpad has three-key rollover, though I don't see a much use for it.

This is no piece of cheap travel gear, this is the real deal!
As advertised, it is a mechanical numeric keypad, so it has that satisfying key click with each touch. This dude is a tank, weighing in at a half pound, and it won't shift around on you (many other units do) using a combination of its weight and grabby feet. I had purchased a bluetooth keypad a few years ago and HATED it because it slid all over the desk.It has substantial and well constructed, but I can see the weight and size being a turn off for some, but for fellow nerds like me, having a full-sized and solid numeric pad is most welcome in the house or travel setup. The attached picture is showing it next to my Microsoft Sculpt numeric pad.
