First off. This is a tool for LIGHT yardwark, not heavy duty landscaping projects. If that is what you're doing then this is the wrong place for you. Second, it is NOT heavy at all. My Weedeater brand curved weedeater (smallest you could get) is three times this tools weight, so it is light. If you think it is then you probably shouldn't be doing any yardwork. The trimmer works. I'd say the only bad part is the auto feed feature. It pays out line each time you stop the motor. So if you stop and start all the time you will use up the spool quickly. The line is thin but it does cut and, yes, the spools are reloadable and. 055, .050, .065 line IS available. The chainsaw is going to leak bar oil, all chainsaw bars are designed to dribble oil onto the bar. So, for me, it's working fine. It will probably cut up to 2.5 to 3 inch branches, but I wouldn't go much further than that. The chain, as with all chainsaws needs proper tensioning or its going to slip off. I haven't used the hedge clipper yet. I have a wisteria arbor that needs a haircut every so often so that will be a good test for it. And that's what it's designed for, hard to reach places, if you have waist high hedges, you'd be better using a regular hedge clipper. I can't say too much about the battery lifetime because I just got it. I can get about a half hour out it before changing batteries. And the batteries need proper storage in the winter. If they go bad and I have to replace them, so be it, with the price of gas and oil these days, it will probably balance out. Now, the tools are ok, but they are NOT pro grade equipment. Don't expect that if you purchase it. So, as with everything, use common sense when making a purchase on anything. Be safe, and enjoy.

Like the title says, I got this eight years ago and it's still running off the original battery. I need to add a few caveats. I haven't had a lot of need for the chainsaw, but it still works fine. And I don't love the string trimmer, because the strings burn out fast and get bound way too easily. Also, they dont eat up the very tip and it'll break off a big chunk which kind of hurts if it gets stuck in your ankle. But tge job it does is a good one. I had a longer pole trimmer and appreciated the extra length, but it's easy to use and manage and does a good job, It just won't reach the tops of my 13, 14 foot technys. But Ive had it for eight years, not once has the battery run out on me, and all I've had to do is keep it clean enough, replace the spool on the trimmer, charge the battery, and replace the chainsaw oil. I have to edit this because the string trimmer has gone to trash. According to the manual they suggest just replacing the spoolswhen they get used up. They recommend against winding spools yourself and to just buy new ones. **They don't make the spools anymore.** Follow their directions and you'll have trash before the end of the season.

I used to use gas tools but hated the maintenance. I switched to electric but hated the extension cord. I was worried about switching to battery, but after a month and three uses, I couldn’t be happier. The hedge trimmer has worked great on a wide variety of hedges and shrubs. It comes with light lubricant, which I appreciated not having to buy separately. The extension works well for tall shrubs, but it slips a little and I had to re-set it a few times. I didn’t realize how much I bent over when hedge trimming. The extension means no more stooping, which might be my favorite thing! Also, the adjustable angles made it much easier to cut how I want. And no more snipping my extension cords. When branches were too thick for the trimmer, I swapped out for the chainsaw. It worked very well. You need to buy your bar oil separately, but I already have some, so that didn’t bother me. The weed whacker line is very thin, but gets the job done on grass and light weeds. For some thicker stuff I switched to the hedge trimmer, adjusted the angle, and used it like an electric scythe. That sliced through even thicker stuff than my old gas weed whacker. Again, the extension means that I don’t have to stoop while weed whacking, which is so much less tiring. Also I like the wheel and twisting the head for edging the grass. And the auto feed works well to keep the line length. I haven’t had to replace the line yet, so I can’t comment on that, other than the manual recommends you buy their pre-wound spools to support the auto-feed. Battery life has been good so far. I’ve used for up to 45 minutes straight without losing power. Recharge is fast and easy. I cut for a while then recharge while I’m bagging then cut some more. Don’t know how many years there battery will last, so I’ve been considering getting another at about $50.

I wanted a hedge trimmer. This three in one was about $40 more than the average cordless hedge trimmer so I went for it. This is so easy to use, works great and the weed wacker is lighter than the corded one I already have. The heads are really easy to change, I've used all three tools with ease. If there is one thing that's less than perfect, and it may be something I'm doing wrong, but the little latches that hold the desired length of the pole sometimes slip out of place, mainly when taking off the tool at the end. I love the pole saw and really trimmed my oak tree with it. You don't have to oil the chainsaw, there is a compartment for the oil. The other fun surprise with the weed wacker is the line auto feeds basically or you just have to press a button on the outside of the spool and pull a little more cord out. The corded one I have had to be taken apart each time and re-threaded. It stores nicely in the box too, taking up less space than just the corded week wacker alone. One final thing that's great - - the battery charges like a cell phone, with a charging cord, no base is required. So it's easy to remember to unplug it when it's fully charged in a short amount of time, an hour or two, and then put it right back in the box for the next time, one battery for all three. Love this!

I've been using this for about a month. This tool would be great for someone who lives in the condo or has a small yard and limit storage space. The hedge trimmer attachment is amazing. Works really well, it can cut reasonable size branches, the expanding pole allows for reaching high branches without the needing a step ladder. The string trimmer fuels like it's too small and underpowered. I have yet to try out the chainsaw. When they bought this, I didn't realize how important balance was for making a tool pleasant if not enjoyable to use. The pool does not feel like it fits the weight or size of any of the tools particularly well. I find that I'm either holding it too close to my body which is an awkward position or reaching out too far which causes strain on the wrist and forearm. Overall it seems to be a good value for the money. Definitely consider this if you have a small yard and limited storage space. If you have a large yard and adequate storage, I would consider getting separate tools that are designed and balanced for the job they need to do.

I received the Sun Joe Lawn Care System and was pleased with the packaging, which was very neat and organized. I took all the parts out and immediately read the manual, which was pretty straightforward, although I had to look up YouTube for instructions on a few things that weren't clear. The first was the plastic guard for the grass trimmer. The manual wasn't really clear on exactly how it was supposed to fit, in my opinion, and the second was the cap at the end of the extension wand. The insert had to come out to attach the different pieces, but once those were figured out, the rest was very easy. The fact that the system does not require gas is awesome, because now we can store it in our basement, and having a cord was not even an option for us. We always used gas-powered lawn care tools, so this is a nice change of pace, and the pole saw is the best part. We have many apple trees in our yard, so pruning has been fun and easy. Maybe a Sun Joe lawn mower in the future? I would definitely recommend it; for the price, you can't go wrong! All this for under $200 bucks. PS I love the color 😀

tl;dr; We've had these tools for a year now. They aren't the greatest yard tools, but they are a good value for the price and work well for small to medium sized jobs. We haven't had any problems with the tools breaking or battery charging, like some of the other reviews. However, most of the reviews about the tools breaking are about the pole saw, which we haven't needed to use yet. (Read further down for a recommendation on replacement trimmer line.) Pros: (mostly) light weight tools; able to edge, trim weeds, and trim hedges all on a single battery charge; very nice adjustability (length, angles, etc.); edges surprisingly well; easily trims hedge branches up to 1/4"+; great reach for tall hedges; very easy to change out tool heads; battery is interchangeable with other Sun Joe 24V tools Cons: included weed trimmer line breaks way too easily; weed trimmer auto-feed is very hit or miss (often gets caught and requires manual feed); hedge trimmer is a little heavy, even with the pole at the shortest length We have a small yard that takes about 30 minutes to mow front and back. We use the weed trimmer weekly to edge the front yard along the driveway and sidewalk and trim the weeds around the edge of the back yard. We've used the hedge trimmer 4 or 5 times to trim a handful of bushes around our property and it has easily cut branches up to 1/4". We have not used the pole saw. I wish that we had paid attention to the reviews stating that there isn't a replacement for the trimmer string. First, the Sun Joe trimmer string breaks very easily and the auto-feed is very hit or miss. Sun Joe includes multiple spools in the original package, but you can't find Sun Joe replacement line anywhere. It's not on Amazon or at any other stores and it's constantly out of stock on the Sun Joe website. However, I measured the Sun Joe spools and found that some of the replacement spools that Amazon sells for Worx weed trimmers do work in this Sun Joe weed trimmer model. We purchased the "YWTESCH Weed Eater String for Worx" spools on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D56VBD9). The outer diameter of the spool is slightly smaller than the Sun Joe spools, but the important parts are the height, diameter of the hole, and the pattern of the teeth on the bottom of the spool. All three of these aspects fit the Sun Joe trimmer. The auto-feed does not work very well, but it didn't work that well with the Sun Joe spool either. The nice thing is that the replacement line breaks much less often than the original Sun Joe string did and because of that, I'm actually manually feeding the line less often than with the original spools. The hedge trimmer has worked well on the bushes around our yard. Many of our bushes are waist height though and it would be really nice if the hedge trimmer could be used without the pole, because it does get a bit heavy trying to wield the trimmer at the end of the pole for the shorter bushes.

This is more powerful for small vegetation then the light weight one I bought earlier. Good battery life but much heavier... but I am pretty slight. Feels sturdy. Keeps the trails open and no problem cutting small one half inch saplings or trimming hedges around property. Charges quickly so do not have to wait around to complete the task the next day. Able to adjust blade angle which is nice as then can reach over vegetation and reach in to trim back unwanted thorny bushes. Also handy to use on lawn where trumpet vine keeps growing. Use it between mowing. Not sure of durablity as I have not had it that long. Happy so far.

Bought this kit to clean up a somewhat neglected property. It's not perfect, but everything worked out OK. I'll cover the 3 attachments, then the kit as a whole. The string trimmer is the lightest duty possible. The string is only 0.056" size so it's fragile and snaps easily. Don't try to use this trimmer below 10C, it will just snap and snap. Do put the silver nose guard down or you'll find the string wears out instantly when it touches anything abrasive and you'll be constantly advancing the line by hand. I wish they'd gone for something a bit thicker like 0.080". Having said all that, it worked find to clear some weeds and edge the sidewalk once I learned to work around the limitations. It's fine, and I get the work done. Don't expect to clear 8" tall grass with this trimmer. The hedge trimmer is stellar. Zero problems. With the pole extended I was able to reach about 20ft on some massively overgrown hedges and it was a champ. I did some detailed sculpting with it and the tiltable head was a huge asset. Five stars for the hedge trimmer. The 8" chainsaw is a little champ. I cut some 2.5" branches with it and had no problems, no kickback or dangerous drama. The pole gives you a lot of leverage to control it. It doesn't seem to go through bar oil very fast so I'm not concerned about that requirement. It's cheap and you can get it anywhere. Overall, the kit is great and I can recommend it for light property maintenance. It's much quieter and less smelly than a gas system would be, and the interchangeable heads means the value for money is way better with this 3 in 1. The battery lasted at least an hour for me of intermittent trimming, sawing, edging which is good enough, as I ususally wore out before the battery did. Disappointing that they only include a "dumb" charger with the battery that you have to manually unplug after the battery is topped up. I would have preferred something I could mount on the garage wall and just rack the used battery after yardwork for next time, and forget about it. They sell them, just not with this kit. I guess it's part of keeping the price point low and affordable, which I am OK with. I bought another Sun Joe kit that has the smart charger, so I am getting one that way. Be aware that this is a "pole" kit. I know that seems obvious, but it brings some implications: the pole is fairly long and the whole kit is moderately heavy. If you are a senior with wrist mobility or strength issues, because there is a weight at the end of a pole, it gives it more leverage and it might be tough for you to raise and control. Also, because it's a pole and not a hand trimmer, it can be a bit awkward if you need to do detailed trimming close to a bush in an area with limited clear space around it. I managed OK by moving around to different angles and adjusting my distance, and the angle of the head to 45 or 90 degrees.

Product is as advertised. Product is great for medium sized properties that require maintenance. Not suitable for country homes with acres of land. Battery that is supplied last about 45-1hr depending on use. I would suggest getting a secondary battery. It's light weight and easy to use. I have a property 120 feet by 80. This item easily handles by yard work, and could triple it. Highly recommend the product

A welcome addition to the toy chest here at the cottage, does the trimming of the dead branches like a charm, the chain saw is the best part, the hedge trimmer is good enough for hard to reach spots but I still prefer my other battery operated hand held for easy to get at spots. The hedge trimmer I didn't even try when I saw the little spools they provided, and i already have a great Ryobi battery operated one that works like a champion. But the chain saw is worth it just for that alone ...

The plastic cap that holds a spool of trimmer cord wore out. Not a big problem until you discover that Sun Joe have no parts and don't know when they will be available and the cap does not seem to be compatible with other common brands. I asked them if they could provide a 3D printable file but apparently that is not available either. The trimmer was the main component, but I do still use the chainsaw and hedge trimmer.
