Good pants.
I haven't had these for long, so I cannot say much about the durability, but otherwise I like them. I work on an ambulance and have acquired many pairs of pants for work, most of them being provided from work, and two or three pairs that are knock off brands. Most of my pants that my old job provided me are starting to fall apart due to age, and I dislike the pairs my new job gave me so I decided it's time to invest some money. I really like how these fit, they are not tight around the crotch, and the elastic on the sides of the waste give them a snug, but not tight fit around the waste. The pockets work well, the side pockets are perfect size for the small clipboard I use, and my wallet. The two belt loops in the back are perfect if you wish to put a glove holder or something else between them. And the loops fit my nylon belt perfectly. The material is comfortable and relatively lightweight. I have ordered two more pairs and we shall see how they hold up.

Great pants
The 5251’s fit is amazing. I also love that I can get them in 36” length.I will continue to buy these.

Great pants but I keep getting sent the wrong size
Honest review.Pros: Elastic waist band for comfortable fitDual cago pockets on each side. One velcro closed and other open top behind the lip fold over pocket.Top of leg mag, flashlight, knife pocket (accessory pocket).Top button closure but with sturdy zippered flyInternal kneepad slot (works decently). So far after months of wear, stiching has held together. (normal wear so far not running, jumping or sliding yet)Cons: knee pads print quite a bit and are only single layer knee reinforcement.I would prefer the accessory front pocket to be on the side, inline with the leg seam, since it will press on anything in your front right pocket. So if carry a phone in the right front pocket, your screen could get damaged. The front pocket openings are located a little far forward making it tricky to retrieve items but can also be seen as a pro since things will not slide out easily. And looking at them now, the top point of the pocket is at the end of the elastic, so this may be the reason for placement. My biggest complaint right now is there is a huge flaw with either:A: the companies sizing chart on amazon to the actual size of the pants is backwards (stated waist 1st then length 2nd) and I have been getting the oppositeB: The company is making them backwards at the facility (lenth before waist vs waist before lenth)C: The people packaging the pants have it backwards. OrD: A mixture of these issues.I hope Proper can fix this issue quickly. Like previously stated, on their listing, the 1st number is waist and the 2nd number is length. On the pants I have been receiving the Lenth is the 1st number and Waist is the 2nd (my best guess) since the labels could have been put on the wrong pants size or manufacturer defect. (as seen in the photos)The one consistsnt thing has been when ordering is the waist has stayed one size where as the length would change (which is opposite to my needs). A 36/38 should be 36in waist, 38 long, A 38/36 should be 38in waist, 36 long.I have ordered several pants recently.36/36, 38/36 and 40/36 to have different waist fits for different purposes. The waist has been the same each time but the length keeps changing. This issue (not only for my self but for other customers, the company and amazon) should be addressed so both reputations can be redeemed and not have constant returns for items received that do not match what was ordered.I really like these pants and have worn the one pair I have with correct size for months and wanted to get a few more pairs. Sadly, I am hesitant to order again just to have the wrong size shipped, have them not fit and have to do another return. At my size, there is no real way to play the "numbers game" to get the right fit. Until this has been remedied, I dont want to re-order and waste packing material or employee time to repackage for resale.Proper, could you please find out where this issue is coming from, inform me and you may want to address this issue on the listing so others know they will get the right size if they order from you in the future, incase others are dealing with the same issue and have decided to go with another brand.Customers:So, if your waist and length measurements are same, go ahead and buy since at least you will get the right fit and enjoy your pants.

Propper Versus 5.11
I have worn all types of tactical pants (BDU). Whether it be military, corrections, law enforcement or security.Compared to the price and fit and pockets Propper tactical pants are the best.If you have a uniform allowance or you have to pay for pants I would buy Propper. However, if you department pays for 5.11 that is the best option. With Propper I did not have to have a clothing alteration done. Propper fit perfectly in both length and width.5.11 pants are too thick and uncomfortable as compared to Propper. Propper gives a stretch in the knees when sitting in a patrol vehicle. Propper tactical can be too tight because the material did not give unlike with Propper.5.11 is a brand name pant because my teammates like to brag how they are wearing 5.11s. Yet I do not have to lift up my pant legs just to sit.Don't get me wrong, 5.11 pants look good but that's it. I have more space and easier pocket access with Proppers than with 5.11.Another aspect is the 5.11 Apex a zippered pocket pant. It is easier to access Velcro flaps than with zippers. I have gotten out needed equipment with Velcro fasteners than with zippers. If you want a tight look buy 5.11. But fir me comfortability is my goal.

Made in HAITI
Need a 40W to fit 34W and your IWB.Wish it had the mag pocket on both sides.Drop slots behind the cargo pockets are great.Front pockets are a bit restrictive if you're trying to carry your BUG in them.Comfort is pretty OK as long as you wear them loose.I will never buy work pants without elastic waistbands after trying these.Slightly water resistant. YKK metal zipper w/ plastic teeth.I wish the cuffs were wider because I frequently roll them up to ride my bike.I don't like the button fly(because they tend to fall off). Some colors not available in all models. My size is always sold out in half the colors.Could be better but worth the money. I'm not paying for 511s because I'm not a male princess.Basic clothing can be hard to find in a market that throws its product line out the window every year to adopt the latest passing fashion trends. I require durable clothing that is also comfortable and discreet.Tactical pants tend to hold up better than civilian attire in all applications, while often being cheaper than work brands such as Carrharts. Dickies work pants, while affordable, are extremely uncomfortable.

Lasted me four years heavy use
It's been four years since I bought these. Why am I just writing my review now?Because that's how long it took them to wear out, even when I put them through it.These pants have gone through hell and back, and they're finally threadbare in the seat. If I had any complaints, it's that the zipper will go down on its own, and idk what I did to them but one of my normal soaps took some of the black out. Also, they're not fire-resistant.But they do hold up.Great pants.

Great fit
I wore them straight out of the package, I have been to a BBQ tonight and have been lovingly gazed upon by an XL Bulldog, they have stood the test of time and an attempted sexual assault by said XL Bulldog, they are covered in doggy flob and other stains and they still look the part, I'm very happy with themThis is not a made up review btw, I was actually rogered by an XL Bully tonight and my cargo pants saved me :)

The legs will shrink
The pants are well made and functional. I take a 36"waist and a 30" leg. The first time I washed the pants, the legsshank 1". I ordered another pair, with a 32" leg. They shank as well, but now fit perfect after washing. So if you buya pair of these pants, order a longer leg.

Ottimo pantalone tattico
Pantalone comodo, robusto e tattico. Non a caso Propper è la marca che produce abiti per le forze dell'ordine in tutto il mondo. Sicuramente farò il bis, ne comprerò un altro :)
