Ginger and Miso? Yes Please-o!
The Ginger and Miso Bar is delicious! It's a savory miso flavor with a kick of ginger. I love how it is savory in a world full of sweet bars trying to be candy.

good for anytime
Skratch always come up with unique taste combinations, and the Ginger/Miso bars are no exception. They're tasty, good for anytime, and with Scratch, not full of artificial flavors, colors, or tons of sugar.

Tasty but not for everyone
Great taste but BEWARE! Ginger miso flavor is definitely interesting and not for everyone. It's savory with a little 'burn' on your throat from the ginger and you might need to use some water. Some of my friends cannot tolerate it but I think it's okay.

A rarity: a savory non-sweet bar
I can see why VB Professor didn't like the bar (though seriously, you found it worse than the vomit omelet?) because the Skratch ginger-miso bar is SO VERY different from other bars out there. The texture is bar-like.. it's a bit like an old-school powerbar with small (almost rice crispy) crisp bits worked through it.. but it's such a departure from the run of the mill sweet bar that it's unique: A powerful yet balanced ginger and miso flavor that can catch the unwary by surprise. It's potent, I'll agree. But when you've been gnawing sweet-to-bland bars for however long, it's such a welcome pleasure. It's hard to pound the entire bar, but to eat over the course of a half mile, as you hike along: fabulous.Note: I also found the chocolate chip & almond a pleasant surprise for its not-so-sweetness (though meltier).

Ginger Miso Addiction
Crack as an energy bar. That's terrible. Too small too expensive, still addictive. And if you just clocked 30 miles on your bike and you're sick of chocolate meh meh rice sweet whatever--pop this into your maw and follow it with a swig of skratch passion fruit hydration drink. That is like mixing crack with crack and topping it off with sprinkles of crack. It's so addictive and so darn good, it should be illegal. The people at Skratch are evil. Pure evil. Downside is the price of course, and that's the only reason I'm not laying in a gutter with empty Skratch wrappers all around me. Buy some. You'll see what I mean.
