I have tried many sandbags, some good, some not so good. I would put this one in the great category. The design is simple and straightforward, it was much easier to get sand in through the opening than other bags, and the closing mechanism is idiot proof. They provide you with 3 ties that utilize a kind of slip knot to keep the bag secure. I haven’t had any sand fall out. This bag could probably hold up to 150lbs, I kept mine with about 135 lbs. The color and material are fantastic, I feel like I’m making battle against weakness with the god of war Ares watching over me. This bag is also 1/2-1/3 the price of other competitors and is just as good if not better. If you want to build a back that is thick like a buffalo then sandbag training is the way to go. I use it for wrestling and jiu jitsu and it has helped my mat game tremendously.

I bought two of these sandbags for my husband and I to use for CrossFit style functional fitness workouts. The box came with no assembly instructions and the company wanted me to buy their app for further help. The bags kept leaking snd when we’d do an over the shoulder toss. The bags were difficult to close with the ball and tie assembly, and I reached out to the company for help. I received no reply from the company and after a couple weeks I returned both bags and bought bags with a zipper and Velcro closure. In my opinion, it is worth spending twice the price on bags that close properly.

So far, this has been an excellent bag. Mine is filled with about 70 pounds right now and because of the shifting weight and lack of handles, feels heavier than my bag with handles. I've dropped and tossed the bag through several workouts and it's holding up just fine. I was a bit skeptical about the security of the rope and ball but, so far, not a single grain of sand has escaped. For the money, this bag cannot be beat!

This training sand bag is awesome. You just fill it with sand and close it and you are good to go. The material is very well made and sturdy. I use this when i do my squats and i love it. I would highly recommend.
