It is as advertized
A hard metal shell makes it durable - but the plug itself is not protected from dirt. No flashing lights.It's rather tiny & easy to hide - or lose!I can't say how long lasting it will be, but I've found that ''thumb drives'' will likely keep data for about 10 years or more.To test (any) thumbdrive to verify that it is a good drive & not a ripoff - or defective, fill the drive full with files & then read them back to be sure the size of the drive is as advertised & is a good one.To use this drive with Windows XP, you need ''WindowsXP-KB955704-x86-ENU.exe''. Search for it at archive [dot] org.

Overall a good product; but seriously, how would anyone know about the durability of a product they just purchased? Had to exercise caution on that point...

Great for updating firmware on android and Apple auto radios.
Needed this thumb drive to update the andriod auto/ apple auto firmware on my bual car radio since it was already set to the default settings needed. Download the new firmware went to my car. Plugged it in turned the car on and right away the update started. Now my radio is updated and everything is working fine. Love that it comes in a three pack and they are matel.

Compact, well built and does its job!
I was recently in need of a good quality USB drive and wanted to go for a USB 3.0 one that would do a good job without being too expensive. I was actually positively surprised with this USB pen drive. The material seems to be metallic and that makes it fell durable! The speeds are really good too, only note is that I thought the keychain was included too, while it didn't arrive. Overall for 10$ you can't go wrong with it!

A super light usb and easy to place with the keys, it works very fast and I love the design is modern. I would definitely buy it again
