I wasn't sure how it would turn out at first... but WOW! I am impressed with how much light these give off... screw my map lights... just aim these down. They are ridiculously bright... I mean look at the comparison picture I posted... if they are too bright... and yes they will be... as other buyers noted... just turn them in towards the sides to dim them down a bit... I left mine full strength just so I could laugh at it everytime I see someone flip open the mirror! They usually swear or immediately slam their head through the window next to them trying to avoid it while throwing their hands up in the air. I can absolutely say I would definitely buy these again and recommend them highly... I never thought I would enjoy looking all the way up my nose so much... but they are bright enough! Side note... if they don't light the first way you try them... flip them over and they will work... they are polarity-specific... awesome! :)

Normally l want the brightest LEDs possible but I can barely look at the mirrors on my Acura TLX 2018 sunvisors as the light feom these LEDs is blinding (and this was in broad daylight). I turned them at a 45 degree angle in hopes to reduce the glare but it caused my eyes to see two persistent colored blotches the shape of the LEDs for a short while. I will keep rhem for a bit longer to test them in real use scenarios but I am quite sure that I will replace them with something less bright and maybe a bit warmer (while I prefer whiter lights, skin looks more natural with a warmer light which is why lights in bathrooms should be close to 2700k or your wife might get quite unhappy).

These were direct replacement for the cheap incandescent lamps as you can see in the right sun visor. I could not believe how bright they were. This is the first time that I can ever remember saying those leds are too bright. For the application of vanity mirror lights I would have to warn you away from these. They are brighter than the replacement led dome lights I just installed. To get them to not be so intense I had to turn them 90° to where they point toward the mirror instead of at the user. My wife said she needed sunglasses to see herself and would not even think about opening this up while night driving and I kinda agree. So are they bright? Is it that pure white color? Yes and yes but bad choice for vanity application but I cannot in all fairness write a bad review for too bright.

These bulbs are Hella bright. They arrived promptly in good condition. I found them to be too bright for the vanity mirrors. So bright you can’t see your face for the glare. However, in the glove box and the trunk they rock! If you want super hella bright bulbs, these are for you. I highly recommend, just not for the vanity mirrors.

Super bright!!! As suggested turning it a little bit to the side will minimize the glare that you will experience especially if you have 2 lights on both sides of the mirror. Since i have 2 bulbs and it is ambient light only, i had both bulbs facing the back and works just as well

I feel these are WAY too bright for vanity mirror. Appears to be 6500K. Will keep these despite too bright for vanity mirror.

Very bright and worth changing my interior lights with these for sure.

Pure white color. No yellow or blue tint. Extremely bright! They work great in my 2005 Toyota Highlander!Easy to install and look great!
