Cordless yay!
I use a hand blender every day to mix up my protein shakes and have gone through a lot of them. We had a power outlet issue so I fried 2 corded ones, I'm glad we found out what was causing it but consequently I had to buy yet another blender stick. This one is by far the best I've ever had. I love the charging dock since I like to leave it on the counter and it has a place to live which only takes up a tiny spot in the corner. I have yet to find the answer as to whether or not it's ok to keep it in the charging dock after it's fully charged though. It's got a heavier feel to it than my corded ones which makes it feel solid and sturdy.I read some reviews about the storage case issues but I would rather store the accessories in a drawer so I can get to them easily. If I put them in the case I'll never use them, too much of a hassle.

Very happy so far. Could possibly do with some extra raw power.
First off, let me say that this is the first immersion blender I've had since my last one died nearly a decade ago (I believe it was an Oster?), so my current knowledge of other immersion blender options is going to be dated. Regardless of my recent lack of an immersion blender in my kitchen, I have often wanted to get a good one back into my small appliance selection and this seemed like a good option.During operation, the first thing that stood out to me was the raw power of the blender. It seemed to be much less than I was used to. Now, is it REALLY lower raw power? Well, I cannot say for certain, and there are definitely many subjective factors involved, but the plug-in blender I had before was powerful enough that when I turned it on, it would literally lift a full 48oz cup off the counter with its power. While that required some consideration in work approach to prevent spillage, I was always fairly certain that it was doing the best blending job possible. For this Black+Decker, there is good power, but definitely not what I hoped. On the flip-side, I didn't have to worry about blasts of liquid possibly flying out of my cup, so there is some value to not having to worry about that. It's definitely possible that the end result is as thoroughly blended as my old blender without the need for the additional raw power; unfortunately I don't have the old one to do any side-by-side comparisons. One complaint I have which is much more objective is the included case. One of the most exciting things, to me, was the included case. Small appliances can be a massive pain to keep organized, and an organized case can really mitigate that pain. Unfortunately, while the case shell is of average quality, the case insert which actually holds everything in place is of extremely low quality. It is some of the cheapest, most light and brittle plastic available, and this causes adding and removing items a huge pain-in-the-butt. I really wish they would have went the extra step and made the case insert of good enough quality to lock it in as a permanent necessity for your new immersion blender. For now, I will continue using it, but with a keen eye to finding anything better than just throwing it all into an unorganized box.
