This is better than the typical home sperm test kit, as it actually tests motility. I wish it would have some kind of count/range, rather than just telling me that my semen passed, but it seems fine to me for basic knowledge (not true fertility planning).When I first tested, the slide wouldn't fill 100%, as much as I put the sample on the little dot. I followed all the directions, but it wouldn't fill. I tried anyway and it said it couldn't be tested. When it says it can't be tested, the app has you try some of the steps a few more times before giving up. At that point, it told me to try the other slide and I did, but my sample had been sitting around about 10 minutes at this point. It worked even less.I contacted YO and they said it was probably too viscous. They shipped another pair of test kits and told me to be more active with the swirling after putting the liquefaction powder in the sample. However, I think my problem may have been due to sample size...there was a lot the first time. My theory is that the amount of liquefaction powder may have been too little for my first sample. After the new kit arrived, I did another sample; I was prepared to remove some of the sample before adding the powder, but I didn't produce nearly as much this time. After adding the powder, swirling it, and waiting the allotted time, it was far less viscous. The sample went into the slide better and the test came back saying I was good. I was disappointed that it didn't give me a range, but it was nice to see some indication.I actually followed this up with a lab test a couple weeks later, since my wife and I are going to start fertility treatments of some sort. Those results came back indicating I was far beyond the minimum for count and motility. I can't confirm the accuracy of YO in comparison, but it was at least correct.

First slide was sealed and we wasted a sample and test kit. Very unfortunate as we were hoping it would be a great tool. Have to wait to see if second slide will work.

Happy about the results and the whole experience really. It was very cool. My husband took the test and seeing the sperm before and after his vasectomy was cool. Of course, the hospital had us submit another sample after 3 months and my husband is now infertile...this test showed the same results a month and a half before we went back. Very satisfied...Will definitely use again in the future (every 2 years or so) just to be certain there is no reconnection of tubes.

Super easy, and fast! Results were great, and the video was amazing.
