No. I never put plastic container inside while warming. I think this one is only used for fruit and salad.

It gets really warm with the lid on, I would heat it up first that way but I think it would keep your popcorn warm.

Q: can I make Raman in this device?

Not sure if you could make ramen in the devise if you needed the water to boil. I don't think the water would boil in this.
