Perfect lube for the back door.
Well, so long as you aren't trying to fix squeaky hinges. ;)I would describe the feeling as "cushiony" more so than "slippery," which is sooo good. I'd say it's similar to oil in that respect, but without the greasy mess. The feeling really is fantastic, and the best I've had the pleasure of using. The high concentration is a bit of a double-edged sword. Because it has so little water, it does dry up very quickly in open air, but if you're careful to keep it "in use," so to speak, you can actually get away with very little of it, which is great for reducing mess, and focusing on having fun.The taste is a low note for me. In fairness, water based lube generally tastes pretty bad, but what I find particularly offensive is just how pervasive the taste is with this one. It really does make it's way over everything, and that can be a bummer, especially with a partner. Coconut oil remains my preference anytime I'm worried about taste. If you or your partner(s) have a vagina, I would recommend reading some other reviews, as I have no insight to offer on that front, but if you're looking, strictly, for an anal lube, I cannot recommend this one enough. Feels great, last forever if you use it right, none of the downsides of oil or silicone-based lubes, great buy.

Works well for a silky enveloping feeling
All water based lubes have some drawbacks to them, no matter what. This gel wouldn't be a good candidate for toys, or self use. It's very very thick so in those scenarios the tiny bit of drying out would change it to a solid basically. When you apply it and put it somewhere where there is warmth and perhaps an small inherent amount of moisture produced (ahem) then it is wonderous. It lubricates just enough to create a light friction, but not so much that the slipperyness reduces friction to nothing. It stays "lubey" for awhile if there's enough "built-in" moisture to keep it that way. If, however, there's no added internal moisture I doubt this would be a good fitThe feeling is very silky and enjoyable. It clings to the skin far better than any other water based lube I've ever used. I will be buying again.

Great Texture but Some Ingredients Are Iffy
Let me preface this with that I worked at an adult novelty store in the past, so I've both tried and know of a lot of different lubricants. If you haven't used a jelly lubricant before, they're significantly thicker than regular water based lubes. They're intended to last for longer and be more lubricating and are more commonly used for 'back door' stuff if you know what I mean lol. They're sometimes even specifically labeled as such, but there's no reason this can't be used in other ways too. This has such a nice, smooth texture. I hate sticky water based lubes, and this never gets sticky on me. The consistency is very thick but does actually stick to things well. It doesn't cause me any irritation and has a pleasant almost cushiony feel. It has a faint 'lubricant' smell to it, which is typical of any lube, but not offensive. One of the biggest factors for buying a lubricant is if the ingredients are safe. It's debated, but personally I won't buy any lubes with 'parabens' in them. They're used as a cheap preservative that can affect your hormones and there may be a connection between them and certain cancers, so I'm happy to report that this does not contain them. This does however contain two ingredients that I'm iffy about: glycerin and propylene glycol. Glycerin is a sugar alcohol, and as you might know, sugar can disrupt ph balance. If you're prone to getting yeast infections, don't use any lubricant with glycerin in it.Propylene glycol can be considered a skin irritant so if you're sensitive, this may cause irritation. It's also a base for antifreeze so there's that to consider, though the FDA does say it's generally safe.I haven't personally had any bad reactions to this and many won't, but these are risks to be aware of. If you'd like a water based lube that has neither ingredient, I suggest this one.

Same Product, Different Consistency
I can see the need for this in certain scenarios but others may have a hard time getting use to its consistency, imagine jello-lube.. that's the best way I know how to put it. Swiss Navy's Premium Jelly - Water Based - Personal Lubricant is an innovative way of using lube but know this before jumping into uncharted waters:- The good thing about this product is that once you squeeze it out of the tube, it doesn't go anywhere - which is a nice escape from liquid lube that runs all over and makes a mess. Where you squeeze it, it will be!- I've always been a bigger fan of silicone-based lubes, but this water-based one stays slicker for a longer period time and it doesn't dry out as fast, letting you enjoy the good times for extended amounts of time.- Price point wise, I feel for how much functionality you get from this jelly-lube and the mess-free characteristics, it really is a good buy at this price and will most definitely increase as the appeal catches on.It's not exactly my cup of tea but I can see this being a hit with others who enjoy water-based lubes, especially, when it keeps everything it comes into contact with, stain-free! Solid product, solid idea.

Thicker, more cushioned application
This jelly definitely feels a little more substantial and is a little easier to apply since it's not as fast and runny. It comes in a clean, attractive squeeze tube. The back warns to keep out of eyes and ears which makes me cautious about oral contact/consumption (that, and I don't see any encouragement from the manufacturer in that regard on its sales page). However, for its intended purposes, I think this is a good offering that goes a long way, especially if you have access to a little water or saliva to keep it moist until you're finished.
