David does a great job in all the videos I've seen him do
David does a great job in all the videos I've seen him do, and this is no exception. Very clear and carefully planned out. This tutorial will literally get you on the fast track to recording great music with the R24. Additionally, David explains important recording techniques and why they are so crucial in the recording process. He explains everything in a step by step process that always keeps you focused on your goal. I am a 40+ year song writer. I am primarily interested in the music, not the technical capturing process, so when I get good instructions on the equipment I use to capture my creative moments, it makes me even more productive. I highly recommend this tutorial regardless of your expertise in recording & engineering.

A must have tutorial
The manufacturer PDF manuals are good, however, these units do so very much that there are a ton of details that are not covered in the manuals. For example, these tutorials showed features that I didn't know existed for looping and triggering gated samples with the sequencer. The video is very clear. It covers so much that you might rewind a lot like I did but its worth it. The Zoom unit is shown full screen during demos which helps to make the postage stamp display more visible.

Great Zoom R24 training video
Just started going through the video but impressed enough to start a review of it. Very well done! Engaging, informative, and for me the right amount of detail even on topics I am familiar with already. The Zoom R24 is a pretty complex machine but does come with a decent operation manual but this training video has already given me new information and I am just 30 minutes into it. I have had loads of fun with my R24 already and this video and David Wills is going to help me get even more out of it.I point that I will address that Mr Wills may cover later. He discusses phantom power on channel 5/6 but did not mention that the R24 also can supply phantom power to channels 3/4 and 7/8 and it is controlled via menu.

Excellent Tutorial on a powerful product
As usual, David does an excellent job explaining the features, functions and workflow of a feature packed recording device in a friendly and accessible way. Simply watching once has given me confidence in my recording abilities. Revisiting particular sections is helpful for details of getting the recording just right. If you're new to recording, several key concepts such as multi track, setting levels are explained. If you've got a R24 recorder, I recommend you get this tutorial to get the most out of it.

Worth every penny
This DVD is really worth it. He explains things very clearly and shows hands on examples of what he was describing. I knew quite a bit about my R24 before I ordered this DVD but there was still a bunch of very helpful things he touched on that I wasn't aware of that made my R24 even better than I already thought it was. If you own the R24 you need this DVD, it's that good.

No better way to learn!.
When I purchased my new ZOOM R24 Recorder, I just couldn't figure out the paperback manual, but when I decided to use the DVD Tutorial it was best and easiest tutorial that I have found. It was just like having a technician sitting right there next to me to show me what to do, and how to get the best recording result's. This DVD is "Awesome".

If you bough the recorder then buy this video to make your recording adventure easier
If you buy a Zoom R24 or R8 then you should buy this video.It will have you up and running much quicker then just reading the manual or hounding forums asking questions.The information is presented in a concise, easy to understand way.

Excellent Introduction
Never used this type of equipment before and needed someone to show how to get started. This did the job nicely.
