Back saver
This trimmer is a real back saver and can go through a lot of grass pretty quick. But when I received it and got it up and going, the engine couldn't even get the trimmer head up to speed and if I tried to trim grass with it, it would just stall every time. Also it had a vibration through the Handel that it two minutes my hands were num and tingling. I gave it a try and removed two out of the four trimmer lines, like most other trimmer mowers only have and adjusted the belt tension and it would go through anything I put it into and the vibration went away. It's one of those times that less is more.

Not at all what I expected. Not recommended.
This unit looks like it could conquer all. It is so grossly underpowered, it can't even spin its own assembly to speed, let alone cut weeds. You must use it with only 2 of the 4 cutting strings or it won't even get out of its own way. The little Honda engine is too small and doesn't have the guts to run this thing. It is hard starting as well. It really can't handle anything but a perfect, groomed area of thin weeds or very thin grass. Otherwise, it is overwhelmed and dies. I hit a very small bush and it sheered off all four cutting strings. Done. Wish I had bought a quality over the shoulder weed whacker. That would be easier to operate and would do a much better job. Do not recommend. This is a later entry, after having owned it a year. I thought this would be a garage dust collector, but I paid too much money for it to be that, so this spring I decided to take it out and just make it suffer. Low and behold, a couple hours into the job, it loosened up and began to run strong and hard, able to turn its hardware and it actually did a good job. It obviously just needed to be broken in! It works much better now. I have to be fair, and correct my first negative review. The company should suggest that this machine needs to get to know itself before it begins to perform as it should. Still, I'll give it only four stars because I don't think it will turn four cutting strings yet, or ever.

The instructions were inadequate. If we were not used ...
The instructions were inadequate. If we were not used to machinery by being farmers, we probably could not have used it. It did not cut the weeds. It stalled out instead of cutting.

HONDAS WORK SO MUCH BETTER, "WOUND UP TO THE ROOF" WHEN USING THEM..
I'VE OWNED 3 MOWERS (ORIGINAL ACTUAL HONDA PUSH AND DRIVEN, TWO RIDERS, AND THREE SNOWBLOWERS INCLUDING A COMMERCIAL 36" TWO-STAGE SNOWBLOWER THAT WOULD GRIND UP CARS..! THE COMMERCIAL WAS A TRACK DRIVE AND WAS A BRUTE...! WOULD LOVE TO RY THIS LITTLE MOWER FOR MYSELF FOR A YEAR AND SEE IF I COULD GIVE A REAL TEST ON IT.... I HAVE WORKED ON HONDA MOTORCYCLES SINCE 1965 AND POWER PRODUCTS SINCE 1981.... ALWAYS LOVED THE QUALITY AND EASE OF WORKING ON THEM...

A bit under powered but it really works.
I bought one of these for the ranch where I have about 5 acres that I need to mow. This is old pasture and is mainly hay and other high grasses. Using all 4 strings bogged down the machine quite a bit so I use only 2 which really cuts as fast as the machine will travel. The first one shipped was damaged in shipment .. another has given me 2 years of good service so far. Never had a problem with the engine or other parts.

this item "made in America" is an embarrassment and a grim joke
To start with the drive system is made with sub standard materials and engineering. After little use the sprockets will throw off the chain. There is not enough adjustment to compensate with the early wear of parts and more than fifty percent of the parts would need replacement in order to get the self propel to work for part of a season. In heavy cutting the head which holds the string will shear the string within a minute. I have never worked on such a piece of junk in over 60 years of maintaining mowing and weeding appliances. This made in Missouri tragedy sure did show me!
