what is the depth of the Tower essentials casserole dish

Great the manufacturer doesnt know the difference between "depth" and "diameter" !!!

Can I get a replacement lid for this pot? Both rivets holding the handle to the lid came off mysteriously together so the lid is not usable.

Sorry, not sure if you would have to contact Tower direct. These pots are usually all standard sizes. If you haven't got another of that size already you might try just buying a cheap pot of that size and use the lid for your steamer/both. Hope this helps.

Does the lid for the streamer also fit the base dish/pot?

Does anyone have any recommendations for an accessory to cook rice in this steamer or can I just use a normal porcelain/stoneware bowl?

Place in a steamer filled with cold water (the water should not be boiling when the rice is placed into the steamer). Turn on the heat to high, cover, and cook for 20 minutes. Turn off the heat, and let the rice sit in the steamer with the lid on for at least 5 more minutes.
