Will this display hdmi input without any raspi/usb connection? can i use this as a simple hdmi monitor without touch?

As long as the device outputting the signal isn't trying to do a resolution greater than 800x480, which tends to rule comfortable use of most modern OSs, but there are plenty of other applications where this is perfect. You just have to supply external power, and find some comfortable way to hold/mount the display.
