I was a little wary of ordering rocks for my sons aquarium without being able to see exactly what I would be getting but I have to say this seller is amazing! I was originally afraid of getting all small to tiny pieces but was pleasantly surprised when just opened the box. The selection is great and just perfect for my sons 5 gallon tank! His Thai micro crabs will love these rocks!

Keep in mind I am NOT an expert aquascaper!!! I piddle around with it because it relaxes me. And I just started about 2 years ago. From what I’ve seen so far, to buy stones in the pet store is almost painfully expensive. You do get to pick out the stones you want but you’re going to pay for that privilege. 🎶Pricey🎶 This is a good very reasonably priced start to a base collection of hardscape. There’s some good shapes, colors and sizes that can be useful. There’s also a bunch of small “detail stones”. I’m choosing to call them that so I’m not upset with the “rock crumbs” that were in there, instead of larger useful stones.If you want that one main visual stone though, you’re probably going to have to go find it somewhere. Unless you get lucky and get an awesome piece. I haven’t weighed the stones yet to see if I got the 44lbs or 25lbs. I ordered 44 but it didn’t seem like 44 bringing it in the house. And I’m by no means a body builder. Lol So we’ll what happens there.All in all fairly pleased with this purchase. I can work with it for sure.

Baby aquascaper here, I really liked the variety of rocks they sent and the rocks weren't too dirty either. Good rocks.

By nature most rocks are not very light, and slate is no exception, so I’m not gonna mention the weight lol.The rock is a light grey that is a few shades darker when wet. My rocks arrived in the correct sizes, but were thick rather than flat leaves like the pictures suggest. That’s okay I went out and cracked them in my yard and got a nice variety of shapes, and I recommend you try it too! (SAFETY GLASSES)These are sharp rocks based on how they formed and fracture, so I would NOT recommend them for bettas or soft goldfish; I might even rub down some of the sharper edges if I were you.Other than that—it’s clean slate, I can’t complain about this purchase.

Nice size box for the price. Overall good selection but several rocks were much thicker than was expecting. If ordering again I would go up in size on the length just for my needs. As a random assortment though, I'm happy.Edit: ordered the next size up, I don't remember the pounds but it was the 5-7 in sizes. I got 5 rocks. Was not expecting that. They were pretty thick pieces. I got what I paid for and combined with the smaller box I made a pretty nice structure for my fish w plenty of hiding places. All in all I'm satisfied but I think it's fair to say the sizes may you get are all over the map.

Good rocks honestly not what I was looking for because they were very thin but they look great in my turtle tank and he loves them so no regrets

I’ve seen some negative reviews, stinks that some people didn’t get the best stone I assume it’s in a large container or pile they pick out of. My experience was amazing the pieces that came were just amazing looking and had so much character. I feel like I got a good variety of sizes I wish they offered more weight options like an in between the two they have. But for me they did their job in the tank I just set up last month. I also added some river rocks, pebbles and sand.

Couldn't ask for anything better. Obviously, buy the largest size you can. People have different sized tanks and different sized needs, and things can't be 100% when it comes to nature but it was spot on for me.Love it

These rocks are stunning. There is no better value out there. Great selection of sizing and shape.
