Battery Anti-release Buckle Lock-up Anti-falling Foldable Battery Safety Lock Buckle Guard for DJI Avata

I've crashed my drone pretty hard numerous times already and not once did my battery ever fall out. The Avata battery fits fairly snug in its compartment at stock. But this does add an additional protection and rigidity to the whole battery part. The arm swings down and keeps the battery snug in place. There is a small rubber part at the end which fits on pretty tightly. Only 2 long screws included, so if you lose one, you're SOL. They do not include the proper tool to install this, you need a star or 6-sided screwdriver to get this installed correctly.It does add some weight to the drone, but only a few grams. But still be careful and take into consideration the extra weight and its possible affect on the drones flight and battery life.Otherwise an excellent battery anti-release buckle for locking up your battery in those rare events your drone battery might pop out. This buckle IS made of plastic however, and under extremely hard impact directly on the buckle, I imagine it could break.

This battery retention device is a must have for DJI Avata owners. Don't risk the battery ejecting upon impact, making the drone difficult to locate. No performance impact with flight time. Can be located in place with the battery connector unplugged so no risk of it turning on unintentionally in your case . Highly recommended.

If you fly your Avata, it WILL crash at some point in time. No doubt about it. That's just part of the fun.My first crash was before I had this addon. The battery popped out in the process, as if it was spring loaded. That was the trigger for getting this item. Consequent two crashes ended up with device holding on to the battery. So for me - it is a success. So to recap, this device is:1. Super easy to install (provided you have the right tool at your disposal). It took me 3 minutes to complete.2. Holds the battery quite firmly.3. Doesn't change the drone's dimensions, and so does not require any adaptation in drone storage.4. The provided screws fits perfectly, but I have a feeling that it will require tightening up from time to time.

It took me two times to figure out that this product is bad. The first one broke due to a hard landing in the house. Second one failed due to very minor low speed head on into a wooden building then falling less than ten feet to the ground. The product looks good and is easily installed however; it does NOT do what it was designed to accomplish, it’s a one trick pony. Foolishly I neglected to read the reviews. I looked at the star rating. When the first one broke I noticed that it was in fact extremely brittle as many reviewers noted and assumed that I had over torqued the unit. I lessened the torque when installing the second unit and used blue lock tight. It broke after a short fall in the exact same place as the first one had. Zero for two is enough education for me. I will try another snap on product just for the heck of it but until it arrives I’m going back to the ugly heavyweight rubber band, it works. If you purchase this product, buy them by the gross and save on shipping, good luck. Personally I DO NOT recommend this battery securing device in any way, shape, or form.Enjoy your aviation experience and thank God and a military member we live in a country where we can freely enjoy this hobby. Great way to keep your battery from falling out when you get into trouble and hit something. It has a little rubber pad that protects and holds the battery in place for a smooth flight. It is a must buy for the Dji Avata
