Excellent for kidsThis has a good range of colours but with. NO RED plus a pad a sharpener and a rubberAll in a lovely wooden caseFor a bargain priceIt’s seriously a bargain as the colours are good enough - good vibrant range which blends well - and to be honest all a kid would need. But NO RED!I bought this for my 10 year old.Sure you can go for Caran d’arch - they’re probably better quality but you won’t get them at this price.Good for school or colouring at home.Why no red ? It’s one of the few ofthe most standard and primary of colours

Absolutely delightful set, in a beautiful robust box. Everything in it is an amazing taste of what Derwent's got to offer and it is a great gift, be it to a beginner or to self; the perfect selection of items and colors makes for a great motivational tool which just pulls you in and makes you draw and paint! I especially love that the nuances in regular and watercolor set are selected to compliment rather than duplicate each other, so it feels like there is a double amount of options right from the get-go.

The colours in this box are dull. Not the vibrancy that I expected. The price is also expensive for the number of pencils and a plastic sharpener.
