Contigo Purity Glass Water Bottle with Petal Sleeve, 20oz, Very Berry

the grip is perfect, the cap closes without letting a drop out. Just wish it was indeed a wide mouthed bottle as it was it was stated on the description: "big mouth - contoured wide mouth design" so that it would be easy to clean and be able to add ice without having to force it in - felt cheated...

I always prefer drinking with glass over plastic bottles if I had a choice. Glass does not have odors and it does not stain. I like to use my NutriNinja to juice drinks, most are either blue, red or greenish in color but the Contigo glass bottle always washes easily without staining. I usually wash the bottle after I finish drinking any juice immediately so all I need to do is put some dish soap and warm water and close the cap and shake a few times and then I rinse a few times and it is clean. There has been a few times where I did not have time to wash the bottle immediately but I just let it soak and use my bottle brush to clean the bottom and sides and it comes out clean easily. I like that the silicone sleeve on the bottom is not fully enclosed because it helps me see the bottom of the bottle. This is important for me because I want to know if I clean the bottle well or not. I have another glass bottle from Takeya and I like it a lot but there were some things that bothered me about the Takeya Bottle (look at my photo for the Contigo on the left and the Takeya on the right). The Takeya has the Silicone sleeve covering the entire bottom of the bottle so it is hard to see If I really clean the bottle well or not. The Contigo is open (look at photo of the bottom of bottle) at the bottom so I could see through it. Another thing is that the Takeya since it is enclosed on the bottom, I cannot dry it well because water gets into it through the side openings and seeps to the bottom but with the Contigo, I could (with some effort) push the edge of the bottom away enough to wipe it dry with a paper towel (A tip is to use a paper towel and a chopstick).The Cap on the Contigo is also easy to clean. Once a week I would remove the silicone ring on the inside of the cap to clean the underside of that area. I like that the cap is metal compared to my Takeya bottle which is plastic. so far it has not rusted yet. But I usually dry the cap with a paper towel and leave the cap off to air dry completely when I am not using it. I also like that the cap is attached to the bottle with the silicone strap. The strap is thick so it will not seem like it will break so easily. The Takeya bottle is not attached so there has been times that I almost misplaced it. The strap could also be used like a handle to hold the bottle. Also when the cap is unscrewed, you could loop the strap around your bag/backpack and then screw cap back to go hands free.If you are looking for something that is lightweight then this is not the bottle for you because this like many other glass bottles are heavy. It gets even heavier when filled with water. The Contigo feels similar in weight to my Takeya bottle. The glass is thick and seems sturdy. The tag does warn that with any glass product, it could shatter if dropped. Yes there is a silicone sleeve to help protect it but I think it could only protect it from bumps or to help with the grip. Maybe you could get away with dropping onto carpet.The mouth of the bottle is about 1 1/4 inch in diameter so it has plenty of room to add ice cubes and easily able to pour drinks into it. Please always make sure to check that the glass on the mouthpiece is not chipped before using it. My bottle is fine but the mom in me can't help always checking.The design is nice. The color of the sleeve is more brighter purplish pink than on the photo on my screen from the site but It is still a very nice looking bottle. I get compliments at work about how nice it looks. After the juice in the morning then I mainly use this to drink water at work. This holds a lot of water so this helps me be able to get enough water each day in one sitting because with a small cup you just do not want to keep getting up to refill.

This review is for the "very berry" colored Contigo Purity Petal Glass Water Bottle. (Sometimes reviews can land under the wrong products.)I drink a lot of water and I have several different types of similar glass water bottles with their protective silicone skins. I like the glass ones far better than the plastic ones because they're better to clean although it does make them heavier to carry, which might be a factor for some people.This glass bottle iis BPA free and dishwasher safe which is a big plus. This "very berry" color one is exceptionallly pretty and bright if you care about such things and easy to spot it if you put it down. (I am always misplacing things.). It also feels very secure. although I have not dropped it from a high surface it seems like the silicone sleeve would cushion any blow.The only reason for the one star taken off is that that the lip of the bottle is large and does not have an option of a straw or narrowed opening when you drink. I do find myself spilling a little bit on my chin when I drink. The cap also is a little awkward to screw on tight. although once you do, you can hold it by the strap which is convenient.All in all, I really do this like and this is the prettiest and nicest "feeling" water bottle I now own.

This is a nice water bottle, if you like glass. The color and pattern of the cover is pretty. The cover also provides some insulation and protection from bumps (but not drops) as well as giving you better grip than wet glass. The lid is very leak proof (a problem on some other glass water bottles I have tried). I like that the lid is attached, so you don't need to hold the lid when drinking. The bottle opening is wide enough that I can machine wash it effectively. Unfortunately, the lid is sometimes very difficult to open, especially when I filled the bottle with soda (less of a problem with plain water). This bottle is much heavier than a plastic water bottle and also fragile if you drop it, so I cannot recommend it for walkers or other outdoor sports use (unless you really really hate plastic or steel). At the desk or in gym or yoga studio, it should be OK.

I love using glass water bottles at work and home because water just tastes better from glass. The Contigo bottle has thick glass walls that along with the silicone sleeve help keep the water cooler longer and provides a good grip. The attached cap strap is nice; I don’t have to worry about misplacing the cap. But I make sure I have captured the strap in my grip to keep the cap from flopping in my face as I drink.Because these bottles are weighty on their own plus with the addition of 20 oz. of water I don’t think they are very practical for carrying around on errands, but are great for work or home.The Very Berry color is a bright hot pink, especially in fluorescent lighting.

I like the glass Contigo Purity Petal Glass Water Bottle. It is heavier than a metal or plastic water bottle but that is OK with me. I like that it is BPA free, will not alter the taste of filtered water, has a protective but ascetically appealing petal cut-out rubberized protective sleeve, as well as an attached, screw on/off cap.I love that it can be taken to the workplace since it is see through and if there is no option for in-house water/beverages, I have water and do not need to use tap water from a public water fountain. This bottle is perfect for me!
