These are great traps. I find them to be very well made. Popping them open is easy. The only tricky partis trying to set up the trigger arm that needs to be inserted into the pedal inside. Once that's done it's a good idea to tie some reinforcement wire to the back panel to prevent the captured animal from being able to snap it open. They give a clip for this, but I decided to use wire to tie the three clamps tight to the cage so it can't be dislodged. I also decided to spray 2 coats of Rustoleum paint on the metal to give it more protection. It is galvanized, however. Another reason for painting was to conceal the trap by making it brown so it would blend in with the ground. I had issues with people letting the animals outif they noticed the trap. The silver metal is just too noticeable. So, the paint serves two purposes for me.
