Warms lotion nicely
I was tired of cold lotion during these winter months. The canister is light weight and I was a bit worried it would tip over. I use unscented Cetaphil. When warmed it's a bit thin, but pumps without a problem. The key is to fill the canister. It has an on/ switch on the cord. Once warming this particular lotion it will drip a small drop, but does not continue. If I notice it's going to drip, I just wipe it with my finger. The warmer heats the lotion up quickly. Some days I turn it on before I get into the shower. It takes less than two minutes to start warming up. The temperature of warming is perfect for me. I would recommend it.

Works as advertised
I’ve owned this lotion warmer since Valentine’s Day and my entire family enjoys it. It works well, heats up quickly, and to just the right temperature. It does what it advertises.A number of reviews here puzzle me.First, it heats up about three full squirts worth of lotion at a time. While I’m not a biologist, it’s likely to keep bacteria from growing or spoiling the unused lotion in the tub if it was to continuously heat up the entire tub.Second, the light apparently only comes on when it’s actively heating. So yes, the light goes out. Give it some time after using it and it’ll come on again if it remains plugged in. It will heat more up.Third, it’s made for lotion, as stated in the description. Creams are evidently too thick.

Should have bought this sooner. . . for shaving
Bought this on a whim to make shaving more tolerable when the weather turns colder. I should have bought this sooner. We let the temperature in the house run down to the 60's (degF) to save on energy costs. It's not that cold, but everything in the house, including my shaving supplies, is 30 degrees colder than body temperature. So any shaving soap/cream/gel/butter will cold-shock my face and 1) make shaving unpleasant and 2) cause hairs to retract into the skin for that not-so-close shave. This heated lotion dispenser fixes both problems.I currently use Van Der Hagen Shave Butter, which is perfect for this device because it has the consistency of lotion. This device won't work with creams or gels that foam/expand during or after being dispensed from their retail container. First, this pump does *not* aerate the lotion or butter like some foaming soap pumps do (hard to do with a high viscosity fluid). And creams and gels don't stay foamy for long once dispensed. The dispenser takes two minutes to heat up, then shuts off and stays warm for the entire shaving episode. The butter is more "runny" when heated, but this is a feature and not a flaw. Lower viscosity means easier to spread on skin than 60 degree higher viscosity butter that has the consistency of, well, cold lotion (think jelly). Once warm, pump directly onto your shaving brush and apply to wet skin for a close and comfortable shave. I don't even need to touch the shaving butter or use your hands to spread onto my face, so everything is simpler and cleaner.Every once in a while, there is a product that makes me think, "I should have bought this sooner." I am pleasantly surprised with how well this dispenser works for what I need it to do.

Great lotion warmer
I really enjoy this lotion warmer. Plug it in when I get in the shower and lotion is ready for me when I get out. The dial on the top tells me how warm I want the lotion. Well worth the money. Use caution because if you drop it, it might not work again. A little metal bead comes out and it won’t pump. I say it is still worth it.

Works...Mostly - UPDATED
The Pro's-It warms the lotion and it's not a weak piddly warmth.-The instructions are easy to read and understand, while still making the very necessary hazards and safety points.-It's not a no-name mystery brand, it's a brand I know and trust. The Con's-It seems very temperamental, it works 50% of the time when plugged in, sometimes it lights up and works and sometimes it doesn't. Despite being brand new the cord seems to be touchy, which is a little concerning considering all the safety warnings.-The pump is garbage. Prime it all day, you get 3 weak squirts of lotion and then that’s it unless you take it apart to try and fix it, which is really fun when you’re butt naked and now have very greasy hands.-If you drop it, lotion is going to go everywhere and I feel like the plastic housing will crack. I say this because the slide lock on the lid is weak, it takes no effort at all to slide it into unlock to the point where I'm really careful moving it with two hand because I don't trust the lid to stay on.-It is not compatible with all lotions. The thicker the lotion the less this will work. This isn't totally unexpected, but it's still a bit of a bummer.-I know the brand and am now really disappointed in a brand I’ve trusted and used for years.Overall, I don't recommend it at this price point, for what is it and how temperamental is it, $30.00 is outrageous. I’m mad I wasted money on it. What a disappointment.Spend the extra $10-20 and get something with consistently decent reviews, don’t waste your time and heartbreak on this .

Game changer in the winter
I have to lotion up after every shower, and it was so uncomfortable with cold lotion. I turn this on just before my shower; it is nice and warm by the time I am out. It is the greatest thing ever. It warms the lotion in cycles. I turn mine off after I am done, or it continues to warm the lotion. The instructions on how to use it are very clear. I am also going to give it as a gifts for Xmas.

Works exactly as described
Great value for the price. Cold mornings /evenings = cold lotion. Which can be an uncomfortable experience. What an inexpensive way to warm the lotion not too hot, not too cold. An in 2 minutes. No longer dreading using cold lotion on a back applicator. How it holds up over time or does the nozzle clog time will tell.
