Brilliant. Perfect for me.
Having given a negative on the Hump equivalent for being too small, for balance I must give this top marks. So far, I haven't experienced any of the strap issues some other commenters have had. Actually I find I don't need to use the straps as the elastic around the edge keeps it perfectly in place anyway just by itself. Good thick and strong material, waterproof, highly visible, highly reflective, good price, perfect for me.My rucksack is one of these stand-off-your-back air ventilated models - a Karrimor Wind 25 which means it is tall, thin and curved. I have tried several covers supposedly fitting a 40 litre rucksack, and though mine is only 25L, none of them did fit, some went nowhere near. This is large enough and fits perfectly. Only way you could improve it would be the addition of a loop to fit a rear light, I pop mine inside the mesh pocket.

Purchase for a Scouting leader
I have a couple of backpacks I wanted to try this on as I was unsure whether it would fit around a floppy backpack. The short answer to this is no. I tried it on a 35 litre Dakine backpack and it fitted a treat. I tried it on a 25 lite Berghaus backpack, used it on a 3 hour night hike and it fitted very well, it didn't try to come off at all. To access the bag all I needed to do is pull the cover over to the front, this enable good access to the main compartments. The cover is very bright with good reflective strips and keeps the rain out.All in all a very good cover.

Good for commuting
I got this to cover up my rucksack during my daily commute on the bike. I found that it fits well, is very visible and does a pretty good job of keeping the rain out. As it doesn't completely cover the ruck-sack I do get a very minor amount of water ingress. So why not 5 stars; well, the top strap has started to fray. It still works with the Velcro, but I don't know how much longer this will be the case (I've had it 8 months now). However, the fraying hasn't gotten any worse lately, so I'm hopefully that it will stay intact for a while yet.

Great product, reasonably priced, durable and extremely visible!
I purchased this item as a replacement for an existing high visibility backpack cover, and its great. very reasonably priced by comparison to its competitors which are around £30+ - the quality of the material is more than sufficient and has kept my bag dry multiple times whilst commuting in the rain on my bike.Attaching the unit to your bag is very straight forward - you have two elasticated straps with a pin clip - to secure the cover in place, you put your bag inside, attach the pins and then you are good to go.Very good highly reflective bag which is reasonably priced, durable and perfect to keep seen in those winter nights and mornings whist cycling!

5 stars due to the cost and the functionality. Great value for money.
I have various sizes of back pack that I use while commuting. This works for them all. The elastic edges are great and there are two elastic straps for added security. The material appears to be hard wearin (no issues so far - 3 months daily use). I haven’t been hit by a car so I assume that cars can see me and I travel in the dark. The front netting isn’t really nessesary and is probably it’s weakes feature. I wouldn’t trust putting anything in there. The reason for the 5 stars- exceeds expectation for the £16 I paid for it.

Not waterproof. Otherwise very good.
Cons: 1. Definitely NOT waterproof. Even in wet weather when the rain is not heavy, water soaks through the top of the cover onto my rucksack.Pros: 1. Made from good quality material which seems hard wearing2. Easy to clean3. Hi-vis strips, in addition to the fluorescent yellow material, gives me added confidence when cycling on the road surrounded by vehicular traffic.4. Comfortably fits my 30L rucksack. Extra deep sides to the rucksack cover means it completely encloses my rucksack. Velcro straps ensures that it remains secure whilst travelling even when my rucksack is completely full.

Cheap, and easy way to make yourself more visible from behind.
I cycle into work most days and having a bright yellow backpack cover makes me feel much more visible. The cover seems to be decent quality, and the velco straps hold it nicely to my backpack. I have the Amazon Basics Backpack which is 38 x 17.8 x 48.3 cm (LxWxH) and it covers it pretty easily. It would probably fit an even larger backpack.I will use this one until it gets really dark and then will change to my proviz one as the reflectiveness is higher on that one.

New and improved
This is the third of these covers that I’ve owned. They are truly durable, but don’t last indefinitely: cycling every day in all weathers will ultimately wear out any cover. But each one I’ve bought has been tougher than the last: the manufacturer seems always to be striving for improvement. This latest one is the toughest by far, and the press-studs (poppers) which could eventually pull out of the fabric, have now been replaced with Velcro tabs: much better.
