Great product.
Does what it's meant to do, handy to arm or disarm at the press of a button, the only cons is if your fob is stolen they can easily disarm your alarm as no pin code is needed.**if you are acting the fob to tour keys don't use the metal chain it came with as it isn't welded closed and will fall off, attach your keys to the fob using the plastic hole as displayed in my photo.

Very Good Has It Uses
Very Good!!! is it a must have..... not really, I got mine because I am a bit of a techy and I liked the idea of it. It works really well and easy to add to the system. Unfortunelty I cannot say what it is like to live with it because shortly after getting the telecommunication system I got this to work with I upgraded to the Smart Phone system and this becomes kind of usless because your smart phone becomes the fob. Not to say it is not in use I have given it to my Mum who come to my house often to walk my dog during the day so there are other reason why this could be a good choice for you, beacuse you could give it to someone who visits you home regulary like a dog walker or a house clearner and they can turn the system off and on without you give them to much informtion about the the code to the alarm and so forth.

Great idea, but fiddly
I like the idea of arming and disarming the siren from outside. No rush.

Poor quality - 2 have failed in 6 months.
These used to be good like most Yale products they have a reputation for being the premium brand in alarm and home security products, but it’s thoroughly clear to me they’ve sacrificed quality for cheap materials and poor workmanship. The main thing here is that of all the elements of the original kit we bought only 2 of the 6 still work. One developed a fault within 6 months, another shortly after: over the last five years general things have happened to reduce the kit we have to a bare minimum of home security. False alerts on the PIR kits, door and window sensors, and this is despite changing batteries and re connecting. Then now these fobs. The one thing that makes our kit more convenient, have started to fail. One was simply knackered as it was 4 years old and keys get dropped thrown lost etc, so I bought another. After 5 months the buttons stopped working the circuit board must have been defective. A replacement from Yale and 5 months later again it’s stopped working again with the same fault. It’s only the one that keeps being replaced, of the original 2 we bought 5 years ago one is tatty but still works, but it’s inconvenient to only have one. I can only conclude that Yale are just now making substandard quality products and I’d struggle to put the faith of my home security in them again, I intend to leave this kit here when we move house soon and just get something else installed in that place.

Convenient extra device
I bought this as a secondary key fob. The instructions that came with it just told me to refer to the my manual for pairing this 2nd keyfob. What I found out is you can pair it from your existing keyfob as follows:Firstly these are the 4 buttons on your remote from top to bottomButton 1: Arm / Learn (locked padlock symbol)Button 2: Emergency (+)Button 3: Home armButton 4: Disarm (unlocked padlock symbol)So to pair from the existing working keyfob do the following:1\ On the existing working keyfob. Press buttons 1 and 3 together for 5 seconds until the LED stops - to disable tamper protection (the alarm should beep to confirm)2\ On the same existing keyfob. Press buttons 2 and 3 together for 5 seconds until the LED stops - to enter learn mode (the alarm should beep to confirm)3\ On the NEW keyfob press button 1 (the alarm should beep to confirm)4\ Press and hold button 4 to exit learn mode (the new key fob should be fine to do this on now)5\ On any of the keyfobs. Press buttons 1 and 2 together for 5 seconds until the LED stops flashing to rearm tamper protection
