I am not an avid review writer, but this little beauty deserves a mention.Shark, I applaud you! You seem to have taken all the good bits, and packaged them up in this pocket rocket, and left all the negative things found in other cleaners well behind you.I have 3 long haired dogs. My ground floor usually is filled with tumble weeds of dog hairs drifting into corners. The power head easily removes pet hair and debris from rugs, and the hard floor head with microfibre cloth is an absolute godsend on hard floors, picking up all the little bits that usually get left behind. There are TWO power speeds, so you can clean door mats without sucking them up!The LED lights are amazing for seeing into all the corners, finding cobwebs and just clearly seeing what you are doing!The equipment is heavier than I thought it might be - but not too heavy. It's far more solidly built than I was expecting, everything is easy to assemble and disassemble, with a reassuring deep click to let you know it really was that easy to change attachments. Using as a handheld, it whizzed up the stairs brilliantly! I haven't tried it in the car yet, but I anticipate it to be just as easy to use.As for the dog beds, it does take 15-20 minutes per bed, which it did whatever cleaner I have used. This one however picked up far more in the same time.Yes, I still have to snip long dogs hairs out of the brushes - but that is only to be expected with long hairs.I should also add, this is the first cleaner than hasn't sent my dogs running for cover. It dissent seem to bother them like any of my previous models. That's a definite bonus!I have tried many manufacturers over several decades! Dysons (2 models) are flimsy in comparison and not so easy to empty or change attachments.Miele (2 models) nice, but the upright was very heavy and was forever being send back for servicing and repairs.Sebo upright pet, nice, but the cleaning head scratched my hard floors and the second you use the extending wand, the whole thing falls over.Vax - there is no comparison I can make!So in summary, if you are looking for a powerful, manoeuvrable and versatile cleaner that is solidly build at a fraction of the cost of some machines, you really ought to buy one of these. I am actually amazed! It really is that impressive😀Thank you Shark!

We have been very impressed with the Shark Rocket vacuum cleaner. I could not believe the shear amount of dirt and grime that the unit picked up on the first use. Admittedly this probably says something about the performance of our last vacuum (which was a Dyson, albeit an old model), which probably wasn't doing the job as it should've. You get a real sense that the carpets are cleaned thoroughly.The unit is light and easily manoeuvrable. My girlfriend found doing the carpets a little difficult when pulling it back towards her, this is down to the powerful motor in the head and the shear amount of suction i.e no bad thing.The accessories that it comes with are varied and are useful for different types of spaces. The small motorised head connection has been great for doing the stairs with and it's much safer than lugging a larger vacuum up them.The lights on the front also light the darker areas which we've found very useful.An issue for us was small black bits that you get from cotton socks. No obstacle for the Rocket!I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner to anyone thinking of changing their old one. For around half the price of the 'best' Dysons, I think it's a bit of a steal!

This cleaner is powerful and has provided good service for several years. However, it developed a fault where the electrical connection to the brush drive at the foot became intermittent or non-existent. The electrical supply is connected via two connection points, each with three recessed spring-loaded pins. Each time the main motor head and the foot are reconnected or stressed the pins move, leading in our case to one of the internal supply wires snapping off. This is most likely to occur at the top connection, between the hand-held part and the top of the long pipe. It is reparable, although should really only be undertaken by a qualified electrician, or by someone who is confident with a soldering iron and their ability to ensure any repair is safe and appropriately insulated. It is necessary to unplug the cleaner from the electrical supply, remove the lower cover of the motor/top assembly (mostly Philips type screws but two security Torx screws), then unscrew two screws which secure a cast-alloy clamp to release the connector unit.

Arrived two days after ordering from Amazon. I am amazed at this brilliant vacuum cleaner. It arrived well packaged with so many attachments and a bracket enabling you to hang it up on a wall which is a great idea. The cord is nice and long, so I can vacuum my bungalow using only one power point.When the Shark arrived I put it together, which is so easy you don't even need instructions, and gave it a go. I was amazed at the power of the suction yet it was still easy to push and manoeuvre. It cleans right up to the edge of the carpets, using the largest head and on the highest of the two settings. And I was also amazed at the amount of dust etc that it picked up even though we had vacuumed the day before and the carpets looked clean. From just the lounge carpet it picked up two cups of dust, amazing. It is so easy to use I think even people who struggle with a conventional vacuum cleaner will be able to use this. It is so light weight. It has an attachment for everything you could wish to clean. And is perfect for vacuuming furniture and curtains and even dusting when you remove the long pipe and use it as a handheld cleaner. I am beyond impressed with the quality and the price. It is much better and easier to use than the Dyson we replaced with this Shark. We have shown it to friends and family, some have even tried it, and they have all been very impressed.
