Bio-Fem Active Gel 50mlSuch a good product. I use it regularly as a 'preventer' for those times in life when niggly warning signals 'down below' suggest some attention!. I find that I rely on it for those less well defined but ongoing symptoms so often associated with menopause. This includes sensations as though I may be about to get a bladder infection, (i.e those initial sort of warning hyper sensitivity tingly feelings), before and after intimacy and as a general everyday moisturiser for the whole intimate area. I find that it keeps the delicate skin area in good condition - which often goes belly up for women of all ages and especially during and after menopuse.As someone who has always been prone to thush at various points in the menstrual cycle and now, during menopause at random times, it is brilliant at 'heading things off at the pass' (forgive the pun!). It is very economical when using, as a tiny amount goes a very long way. As someone who is very sensitive to many ingredients in such products, I have been pleasantly surprised to find that I don't have an allergic reaction to this product. It does slightly tingle when applied, but as the leaflet states, this is normal and disappears within a minute or so.

Miracle! Highly recommended
Miracle!Had unbearable horrendous itching and burning for about 2 weeks was crying with it and doctors just keep throwing more and more clotrimazole at me. Pessaries etc. So miserable. Tried other things too and even hydrocortisone doesn't help this time. Everything makes the itching worse.Then with trepidation I tried this!! Bloody magic! It burns like hell for about 60seconds then I have so much blissful relief and I'm so much happier feels like my symptoms are going completely be after only 2 days of use. I'm so so so grateful.It's messy but that really is a small price to pay when you're desperate!Thankyou.

BV came back after use, had to get antibiotics
Tried it twice and both times BV came back after use. I had to get metronidazole gel from the Drs instead, only way to clear it. I'm sure it works for some if the infection is mild but not in all cases. Only found a mild burn with it, not too uncomfortable to use.

I tried this for the first time having recently experienced extreme itching and discomfort and nothing else seemed to be helping. I was attracted by the fact it's a naturally based product as I am very sensitive to many products, including emollients for dry skin. Initially I had to use the product liberally to keep the discomfort at bay but now several days later I am using the product more as a preventative as I only get a call amount of itching at night. I also used it for a lubricant for the first time as I find the usual products irritate me. It works really well so I was more relaxed as I wasn't worried about soreness. I shall definitely continue to use it regularly to keep my skin comfortable.

Yes, it normalises the PH balance
I am using Actigel after intercourse to prevent vaginosis and I think it works to keep the balance 'there'.On top of that I found an additional treatment that keeps vaginosis away and I hope could be effective for other women fighting with this life disturbing illness. Whenever I start feeling that vaginosis is preparing to attack, I use tea tree oil. I use 3 things for this: a mini size tampon, olive oil and tea tree oil. First, I coat the tampon in olive oil and then put few drops of tea three oil on top of that.I insert this and keep it for around 10 minutes. (Olive oil helps to insert the tampon and prevents the tea tree oil from sinking into the tampon)Tea tree oil is an antibacterial/antifungal agent and works perfectly to help with vaginosis treatment/prevention. It is all natural so there are no side effects.

This product does work!
I was a bit dubious as to how good this would work on me. I have a type 2 diabetic rash and prior to buy this product had used everything under to sun to try and maintain the itching....I am happy to report that this product does work and it works immediately. You don't have to wait for it to penetrate the skin, it works within moments and you only have to use a small amount so it is lasting me ages. What I would say is not to use if your skins is tender as it stings other than that, I would whole heartedly recommend it.

Try my tip before you buy!
before you buy this product, try this- I decided to squeeze a quarter of a lemon into my 50cl bottle of water and I noticed the next day the symptoms of bv,(which I have struggled with since January), seemed to be a lot less obvious- the odour and discharge was a lot less. So the next day I done the same, just the same amount of water and lemon (even jif lemon juice works in water) and within 4 days it had completely gone. It must be something to do with the acid in the lemon. I don't know if it will keep it away though but i'll be keeping it up anyway as its also good for you. I tried all sorts of expensive treatments for bv but they only seemed to work for a week of so. I received this product yesterday and last night, just out of curiosity, I tried it and all I could feel was burning! hence the 1 star

Tube contents vary in colour
Having purchased and successfully used my first tube of clear gel I ordered another tube but this one had rust coloured gel in it. I was very shocked so asked the sellers and they say it is normal, however I am reluctant to put something that is rust coloured in my private part. They did not offer a refund and I do not have confidence to order another tube in case it is that colour and not clear gel.
