I did some research online reading reviews of cleaners as I was keen to get it right. I have had some very disappointing purchases of other brands (Vax, Hoover, Bissell, Miele) and couldn't afford a new Dyson. I read all the positive reviews and wondered if it was too good to be true, as I could not find a negative review, so thought I would give it a go.I AM SO PLEASED THAT I DID! I can not rate this cleaner highly enough. I LOVE IT. I know it is a bit sad to rave about a vacuum cleaner but I really am so pleased with this buy. Up until I was convinced that nothing would match my Dyson I had years ago. This cleaner beats the Dyson HANDS DOWN and is a fraction of the cost.Ok, some specifics. The cleaner needs some assembly when you get it out of the box, but it is very easy and has a clear quick set up guide. The components felt solid and well made and made a satisfying click when put together.The SHARK once together is a dream to use. I never realised I needed a light on my cleaner til now. Really - you can see all the pet hairs on the wooden floor! The suction is incredibly strong. On a carpet it is a bit of a cardio work out at first because it sucks so hard. But OMG the amount of dust, fluff and pet hair it lifted was gobsmacking and I had only cleaned with my old miele that morning.There are several ways to use the cleaner and some handy attachments. The hose is really long and flexible, the power cable long enough so I could do all the way up the stairs AND across the landing.I chose it overall for the promise of lifting pet hair - I have 2 dogs and 1 cat - I have been sooooo disapointed with other 'pet' cleaners but this one actually does the job.noise level - This is the quietest cleaner I have owned (hoover being the noisiest)Dust canister - easy to remove and easy to empty - I love the feature that it opens at either end so that you can really get all the fluff and dust out with ease.

Having always had Dyson hoovers in the past I am so happy I chose this Shark lift away to replace my old dyson . I would normally have just bought a new Dyson but my sister in law had the ball type and she said how heavy it was so that put me off . I wanted a plug in hoover with a great suction and good bin capacity , this is a bit smaller than the Dyson at 1.1 litre but it’s big enough I feel. The suction beats the Dyson hands down and I love that you can lift away to make cleaning stairs etc so much easier . It has an extra long lead so no need to keep unplugging , and the attachment for bare floors is great me as I have floorboards in my bedroom and it makes hoovering under the bed so much easier .I’m so glad I did a bit of research before I bought this and read the reviews as I hadn’t heard of this make before !It comes boxed and just clicks together, the design is quite retro and the front lights up too , seems they’ve thought of everything!Bought at a great price and cannot recommend highly enough.Hoovering is now a joy !

I have had this hoover for a little while now. Its fantastic. I wish I had bought it when my carpets were new as I think it would have kept them looking so. We have a toddler and a cat and I have long hair that seems to defeat most hoovers. I do have to snip off hair thats wrapped around the brush regularly but the roller is designed to make this fairly easy (it has a groove so you don't really have to remove it to do this). With previous hoovers I had to do this a lot more and the hair seemed to crush the bristles so they didn't agitate the carpet. I also previously owned a henry that had very strong suction which would lift the carpet up but didn't actually do a great job of cleaning it apparently. This hoover doesn't yank my carpet about and stretch it out of shape but pulls enormous (embarrassing) amounts of dirt out of the carpet. It leaves smart stripes in the carpet too! Its easy to empty and I don't sneeze while I am using it. It is a bit clunky transferring between different brush heads and the lift out and upright modes but the system works extremely well with a nozzle for everything. Love the dusting brush. In upright mode it cleans closer to the skirting board than my previous vacuum.

+Great suction.Good product quality.Quiet operation.LED headlights are great, they are actually useful!-Inconvenient to keep swapping accessories.Limited access under low furniture.Low dust capacity, requires frequent emptying.Heavy for the size.Lift-away feature is useful but unit keeps falling over in this mode.No carry-strap included with the product.
