Wileyfox Swift 2 X 32GB with 3GB RAM 5.2" FHD (Dual SIM 4G) SIM-Free Smartphone Android Oreo 8.1 - Midnight

Let's be honest. The Swift 2X is not a flagship-killer but for the price you pay, it's a fantastic piece of kit.My daily driver is a Samsung S7 Edge. I bought the Swift 2X as I have an old number I want to keep alive, and the iPhone 5 I had previously been using the SIM in, had started becoming uncomfortably hot in use after a recent firmware upgrade.The Swift 2X's cameras are strictly so-so but pretty much everything else is above par for a handset selling for a little over £200.I'd prefer the fingerprint scanner to be on the front, but this isn't a Wileyfox issue, as most manufacturers are moving to rear mounted readers in an attempt to lessen the bezel-clutter on the face of the handset. The Google Pixel has a rear fingerprint scanner and retains its "chin", so again, this isn't unique to the 2X.Ignore any online reviews which mention the now defunct CYANOGEN OS. My handset came from Amazon with Android Nougat 7.1 pre-installed and OS updates have rolled out to my 2X on the same day as a work colleague's Google Pixel. In fact, my 2X has a more up to date operating system than my ex-flagship Samsung S7! The Swift 2X is (at time of writing) running the latest revision of Android Nougat, v7.1.2, whereas my S7 lags behind on v7.0.Android 8, Oreo is promised in the near future and it will be interesting to see if the OS updates keep to the same schedule as my friend's Pixel.As I said earlier, you're not paying flagship money for this British brand handset but set your expectations accordingly and this handset will not disappoint. The screen is bright and the capacitive touch is responsive. No stuttering when scrolling around the app drawer or when swiping from screen to screen. Every game I've played on it has run just fine and most "retro" emulators run as expected.The closest "big brand" equivalent to the 2X would probably be the Moto G4, which retails here for a similar price.I've seen complaints about Wileyfox support but my handset has worked better than I anticipated from day one, so I've had no reason to contact them. Due to lack of problems with my handset, I don't feel I'm qualified to give feedback in this respect.Overall, I'm very impressed with the 2X and I'd happily purchase another Wileyfox handset based on my positive experience with this model.I've given the Wileyfox Swift 2X five stars after two months of daily use.Unlike early reviewers of this handset, I'm not going to knock off stars for an unsupported OS as Wileyfox have kept their end of the bargain by seamlessly switching to "stock" Android and rolling out updates immediately.Neither am I going to knock the handset for its "average" (some reports say below-average) cameras. Again, you're not paying flagship premiums so you can't expect a DSLR in your pocket.

I left it some weeks before writing a review, as some things don't show up immediately. There's also little point in talking about Android features, as they will be much the same for any new phone.On top of being able to run the apps I use, I especially wanted a phone that: (a) had no unwanted applications pre-installed that could not be removed; and (b) would receive security updates reasonably quickly. I also wanted a user-replaceable battery, but had to drop that requirement since nothing matched all my wants and needs.I was a little worried about the CyanogenMod issue. I was aware of it when I ordered the phone, and I took a risk that it would get sorted out.As it happens I can compare this Swift with the Samsung Galaxy 7, as I happened to be issued with a shiny new Galaxy by my work at around the same time. The Swift is very slightly lower-specced than the Galaxy, but I don't notice any difference in screen, performance, or any other aspect (and I am quite picky about such things!). Materials and build quality are just the same, and I find the Swift better in that it doesn't pick up fingerprints and is generally nicer to hold. Something about the finish of the surface on the back is just better (for me, anyway). Given the Swift is just over a third the cost of the Samsung, I feel I have got a real bargain.Sound quality is fine: I've not done any scientific tests, but speech is perfectly clear in both directions. I don't tend to listen to music on my phone so I cannot comment on that.Sensitivity is very noticeably better than the Galaxy: typically two bars better in most situations, and the Swift works perfectly where the Galaxy claims no signal. These tests were done while playing around and used the same SIM in both phones to make the comparison fair. The difference is so great that I suspected the Galaxy of being maybe faulty, but I get similar results with my previous phone (a Galaxy 3). Unless I happen to have an exceptional Swift, they are *really* sensitive, and I have found that really helpful on a few occasions.I have received security updates as wanted, so this is good. The last one also moved from CyanogenMod, so I guess WileyFox are going to support the phone for a while. That update did include TrueCall as an extra unasked-for application, but I think it could be removed if not wanted. There is some discussion about that online. :)Not having a whole bunch of unwanted applications is *so* good. I don't have to wait while they are updated (using up my data allowance), there is noticeably more free space for my stuff, and I don't have to wade through clutter all the time. The reality has been even better than I expected.Battery life is OK so far. I consistently get over two days per charge (compared to the Galaxy's one for similar use), on quiet days I can go three days without charging. I'm still not happy that I can't replace the battery, but I guess I'll have to see how long it lasts. I was very tempted by the other WileyFox phones with user-replaceable batteries, but they fell down for me on other features. If the Swift had a replaceable battery it would have gotten the full 5 stars. *Please* WileyFox (and other manufacturers): I don't care a jot how thick the phone is, or if it is waterproof. I just want to be able to replace the one part that always fails years before anything else. I don't know anyone that thinks any different. </rant>I've not needed any support, but I found plenty of discussion about WileyFox phones online, and I get the impression help is available if needed, including direct from WileyFox.So overall: a happy bunny. When I need a replacement (hopefully at least a few years from now), I will most definitely consider WileyFox again.

If you turn on battery saver it lasts longer without hindering its performance in any noticeable wayNote the charger did stop working after 1 month but chargers tend to break quickly these daysThe dual sim feature is good (the extra sim slot doubling as your micro sd slot so you gotta pick) easy as access providing you don't lose the pin.The phone is able to split screen which is really handy. The phone handles any app really well haven't had any problem in that aspect. The gps isn't the best and can take a sec to find you but it's definitely usable and not a big issue as its only a little slow.The display is very good no complaints about it all. The could be better as well as the camera but they are both still decent.Very sleek design looks and feels amazing, can be a little slippy when your not use to it ( accidentally dropped it and broke the screen in the first week will contact company to replace and update here about service).Overall this phone is amazing value for money performs to a very good standard, I would recommend this to anyone!

Ich habe mir das Gerät am Prime-Day zum Sonderpreis von nur 169€ (für das Vorgängermodell waren noch 179€ fällig) gegönnt und bin bislang absolut begeistert. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist schon zum Normalpreis von derzeit etwa 220€ mehr als gut, denn das Gerät muss sich in puncto Leistung und Optik sicherlich nicht hinter den Telefonen von Branchenriesen verstecken, die locker das Doppelte und Dreifache kosten.Sehr angetan bin ich auch von den vielfältigen Anpassungsmöglichkeiten. Beispielsweise kann man die Google-Suchleiste, die bei anderen Android-Geräten irreversibel in den Bildschirm integriert ist, ohne weiteres deaktivieren.Ich nutze das Gerät jetzt seit etwa vier Monaten und habe bisher noch keinen einzigen Kritikpunkt entdecken können.Bravo Wileyfox, weiter so!

- Probado el WileyFox Swift 2X -Toda la vida he tenido teléfonos de gama media, unos mejores y otros no tanto. Cuando he tenido un gama alta era porque ya tenía más de dos años de antigüedad y ya no era tan bueno ni tan actual como a mi me hubiera gustado.El WileyFox Swift 2X está dentro del rango de smartphones que suelo usar, pero es sin duda el mejor móvil que he tenido y probado hasta la fecha. En realidad si miras las especificaciones lo único que le hace cojear un poco es su procesador Qualcomm Snapdragon de 8 núcleos a 1.4 GHz, que aunque suena bastante bien está lejos de los Snapdragon 820 u 821 que son los procesadores de moda. Vale que hay smartphones con 4 Gb de RAM y más, pero 3 Gb de RAM creo que son más que suficientes para un uso medio. La Pantalla Full HD de 1920x1080 se ve de lujo, tiene muy buen contraste y una luminosidad estupenda. Además esta pantalla va protegida con Gorilla Glass 3 y me ha sorprendido por la suavidad con la que se deslizan los dedos sobre ella y lo limpia que se mantiene (aclarar que lo llevo a pelo sin protector).Pero donde realmente sorprende este Swift 2X es en la fluidez y la total ausencia de lags, de hecho, he querido esperar a hacer esta reseña porque pensaba que se saturaría en algún momento, pero ese momento todavía no ha llegado. Con un mes y medio de uso no he detectado ni un solo fallo, el smartphone no se ha ralentizado lo más mínimo y todo estos contando que tengo más de 40 aplicaciones instaladas.Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS y NFC, funciona todo a la perfección, realmente rápido y sin atrancarse. El sonido de su altavoz es muy limpio y claro, mucho mejor de lo que cabía esperar. Pesa poco para tener carcasa metálica, es muy fino y el diseño aunque no destaque por su originalidad no tiene nada que envidiar a ningún gama media. Si me apuras, diría que el aspecto es de gama alta y muy superior a los ya veteranos Samsung Galaxy S4 o S5 que costaban más de el doble en su momento.No suelo utilizar el teléfono con juegos de muchos gráficos y es posible que por eso no le haya puesto en apuros, en el test de Antutu me ha dado 46.000 que no es mucho si lo comparas con la gama alta, pero pienso que la experiencia de usuario es suprior a las cifras teóricas de este simulador.Del tema de batería también va sobrado, con 3010 mAh a mi me da para un día entero sin problemas e incluso ha habido días que tras 24h se mantiene por encima del 50% de carga. Dejo una foto del gráfico de consumos de batería de hoy que tras 20h me sigue quedando más de la mitad de batería.También he notado que ahora me dura más la batería que las primeras semanas. Pero si eres de gastar mucha batería, tranquilo porque dispone de conexión USB-C con tecnología Quick Charge 3.0, capaz de cargar el 25% de la batería en 15 minutos, media batería en 40 minutos y tres cuartos en menos de una hora.¿Tiene alguna pega?Para mí el WileyFox Swift 2X tiene dos puntos débiles a destacar. Uno que necesita tener activada sí o sí la Navbar (Previo, Home y Aplicaciones en memoria) porque no tiene botonera fija a pesar de tener espacio para ello. Esto hace que la pantalla de 5,2 pulgadas se quede en 5 pulgadas útiles.Y la otra pega es que la pantalla por los lados llega hasta los bordes y cuando estoy escribiendo a veces me toca la palma de la mano en el borde y me hace cosas raras.A destacar también que viene con protector de pantalla instalado (de plástico). Pero cuidado!!! no te pase como a mí que tires de la solapa y te lleves el plástico que protege al protector y el propio protector, porque si lo levantas se harán burbujas y tendrás que desecharlo como me pasó a mi.Como resumen he de decir que estoy muy contento con el WileyFox Swift 2X que se ha convertido en mi teléfono personal de uso diario a pesar de que ando detrás de que salga alguna carcasa a precio razonable, porque la original tiene un precio prohibitivo y no me gustan las universales. Ah, se me olvidaba, tiene lector de huellas dactilares que, como todo en este teléfono funciona muy bien.

Le 11 aout, j'ai reçu une nouvelle mise à jour conséquente (535 MB) apportant notamment la mise à jour de sécurité de Google du mois d'aout. Le suivi logiciel du constructeur est donc toujours au TOP ! :)MAJ du 13/04/2017 : J'ai reçu la mise à jour vers Android 7.1.1 dit Nougat qui apporte un certain nombre de nouveautés et d'optimisations bienvenues.Je me suis laissé tenter par le dernier né de la marque Wileyfox, une marque jeune, dynamique et ambitieuse.Je dois dire que ne regrette pas mon choix et je vais vous expliquer pourquoi ...Petit rappel de ses caractéristiques :Écran IPS Full HD 5,2PPlate forme mobile Qualcomm Snapdragon 4303Go de mémoire vive32Go de stockage extensible par carte micro SdAppareil photo principal 16 Mpix et appareil frontal 8 MpixBatterie de 3010mAh (charge rapide Quick Charge 3)Lecteur d'empreintes digitales (à l'arrière)NFC et Android PayDouble SIMTout d’abord, l’emballage tranche avec ce que l’on rencontre habituellement. La boîte contenant le smartphone est plate, carrée et de couleur orange avec une ouverture magnétique ! C’est donc un packaging particulièrement soigné.A l’intérieur vous trouverez ... le Wileyfox Swift 2X ;) et son câble USB type C aux couleurs de la marque.Dès que j’ai saisi ce smartphone, la première impression a été ... WAOUH !!! Oui, parce que les finitions sont vraiment superbes. Et la finition en aluminium y est pour quelquechose.Loin des smartphones hors de prix et/ou affublés d’une surcouche immonde truffée d’applications inutiles, nous découvrons ici l’interface Cyanogen OS basé sur Android. Une interface sobre, soignée et ergonomique remarquablement fluide et réactive. Tous les services Google sont bien présents. L’expérience utilisateur est donc un plaisir au quotidien.Concernant les aspects techniques, l’écran est d’une qualité remarquable ! Des couleurs fidèles et une luminosité excellente que l’on ne trouve habituellement que sur des smartphones bien plus onéreux. La définition de l’écran permet également une lecture très confortable.L’autonomie est dans la bonne moyenne et le smartphone tient une grosse journée en utilisation mixte.Il faut d’ailleurs souligner que la charge rapide de Qualcomm en version 3 est présente et permet une recharge de 50% en 40 minutes !C’est un élément que je trouve essentiel aujourd’hui car nous avons tous un emploi du temps chargé et pas le temps d’attendre 2H30 pour recharger son smartphone en cas de besoin ! C’est une technologie répandue sur les terminaux haut de gamme mais que l’on ne rencontre jamais sur ce segment.Le lecteur d’empreinte judicieusement placé au dos est très efficace et permet de déverrouiller son smartphone instantanément. Là encore, c’est une technologie très pratique que je considère indispensable mais encore trop rare sur des smartphones à moins de 250€.L’appareil photo dorsal produit de bonnes photos avec un autofocus très réactif qui permet une prise de vue quasi instantanée. Les clichés sont bien détaillés.L’appareil photo frontal donne aussi de bon résultats pour les amateurs de selfies.Pour conclure, je dirais que n’ai pas l’impression d’avoir entre les mains un smartphone de ce prix. Pourquoi ? J'ai choisi ce modèle après une lecture d'un test 01.net, je ne suis pas déçules + : écran de qualité / stable en perf / màj Nougat ok / gestion double sim et empreinte super / différenciation ça change des samsung / qualité perçue (écran / partie arrière) / 3Go de ram / packaging inbitial sympales - : pas de prise secteur, c'est moyen / autonomie moyenne / uen couche actu que j'ai du mal à suuprimer pour l'instant...Je recommande, surtout s'il passe à moins de 200 euros
