Dorman 924-544 Parking Brake Lever Kit for Select Chrysler/Dodge/Ram Models

I was able to change mine more easily because I already had the axles out to change the axles seals. I redid the parking brakes at the same time but you have to get them at the right angle to disengage the cable or you have to unlock the cable from its holder on the back of the hub. You might want to change the backing plates at the same time as the rubber boots mount in them. I lathered them up with Never-seize after I installed them but they fully restored my parking brake functionality.

They come up as a confirmed fit for 2009 Ram 1500's but they DO NOT fit this year. The arm that goes out the back to the brake cable has been made too wide so that you cannot wiggle them into place past the hub and shoe support. I will have to grind them to make them thin enough to install through the slot. The rubber grommets are ok. Delivery was time was good. Normally Dorman products are good.

The part looks like the OEM part so expect it will fit and function the same too. I haven't installed it yet but intend to pack the hinge and boot with high density silicone grease. This original factory part seemed to corrode and seize within a couple of years even with regular use.
