Product Description
Haechandle Jurassic Soybean Paste is rich in soybean taste with a soft and sweet finish. It has a weaker sour taste compared to some doenjang. Made in the traditional Korean fermentation method. Soybean paste is usually used as the main seasoning ingredients for soup, stew and "Ssamjang"(dipping sauce for lettuce wrap), but also can be used to season blanched vegetables such as spinach.

Missing Lid and Misleading Ingredients
How am I supposed to close this and keep it sanitary? Where is the lid? Why is it packaged and sent without its lid?I’m really disappointed.Also, the English label on the product has a different ingredients list to that here on Amazon. The label showed that the product contains anchovy paste and pollock bone extract. I can’t eat fish/seafood.I am very disappointed with this purchase.

Not vegan
I bought it because ingredients didn't show animal product on the Amazon page, but when I got it in the mail the label says fish on it. I'm not personally vegan but for people with fish allergies or who are vegan this is an issue, and possibly deadly. Otherwise, I would rate it 5 stars. The seller should update the ingredients list so they don't kill someone.

Great source of vegetarian savoury flavour
I tried this as an alternative to expensive miso. Yes it's different in flavour but it provides a similar umami base note and also thickens sauces and soups nicely. It's now a staple in my fridge for chucking into anything that needs a bit more body.
