Dream to use, very happy with it.
Absolutely love this machine. It is simple to use, does exactly what I want it to do with no issues of tension or skipping stitches or any of the stuff that make sewing a pain!It goes through multiple layers (facemask folds) easily.Worth watching the DVD that comes with it.The only criticism I have is more a generic that they no longer give a printed user manual which gives suggested tensions per type of stitch etc. This isnt even available via the web or DVD.The manuals Brother used to give with their machines were wonderful. Shame they have stopped doing them. They made it so much quicker and easier to ensure everything worked right first time

Nice features.
This is a good, solid, well-made machine. It is not computerised. It has a very useful threading attachment and the buttonhole and button-sewing systems are extremely useful. I am an amateur who runs up shirts and jackets etc. for myself. I find it quite straightforward to use.

Great sewing machine
Bought this for my daughter. She absolutely loves it. Very excited about making lots of things. Loves the idea that the bobbin is on the top and you can see how much cotton left. So many stitches to choose from. Easy to use.

Great machine
I love a brother machine. I had my old one for a while and it was brilliant, I loved it but felt I needed to upgrade to a machine that was able to handle more heavy duty projects. I took a long time to decide on this machine but I am delighted with it. Yesterday I was sewing belt loops on a wool tweed coatigan which meant sewing through 9 layers of fabric. The machine did it easily so I’m very happy.

Beautiful machine
You will not go wrong buying this machine.It’s lovely to sew with.Upper tension was a bit loose at first, but I tightened it.Be careful changing the needle, as I dropped it into the machine innards and then had to ship it off for service.Always put a piece of card or fabric under the needle holder when changing out the needle.

Good machine, but...
Shame about the automatic threader, it will not thread - its far too fiddly & miss-fires. It would be sooo easy to correct this design, so why dont they?

Doesn't work
Copied the dvd with the machine and read instructions, however the stitch patterns were not working at all. Either we were given a dodgy machine or it doesn't actually work as well as it is advertised
