First Class solo game.
This is an excellent solo game which you can play over and over with many different strategies and levels. I found the rules, as supplied with the game, difficult to follow and they took a long time for me to get to grips with all aspects of the game (but this might be due to my age!!). I needed to watch several play throughs on You Tube both before and after my first attempt to play the game. But once I got the feeling for the game and played my first successful play through ( - but, I didn't win. Got to the red stage and ran out of lives just before the end of this stage). I'm now lookig forward to having hours of fun with it. I thought the game very pricey when compared to other board games I've bought (eg. Ticket to Ride, Catan, Carcassonne, Quadropolis - which are all excellent value). Value for money I would probably give 3 and then only because it is such an excellent game. Nicely portable and highly recommended, provide that you can find it for £15 or less - the £20+ I paid was excessive!

A great solo experience
A great solo experience, but it's difficult - in a good way. Quick to set up, fast to play and easy to travel with. The theme is nice and the cards are good quality. I've played a few times and have still yet to win a game, but as I said it's challenging rather than frustrating.

Great solitaire game
Great solitaire game, but quite tricky to understand the mechanic (I needed to watch a couple of play throughs on YT to fully understand), having said that, once you do so, the game is actually quite easy to play but difficult to beat. I have yet to face the pirates at the end of the game, my life keeps running out before I get there. The basic idea is that Robinson Crusoe has washed up on your Island (you play Friday) and is disturbing your peace. In order for him to successfully leave the island you have to teach him some street credibility. As he undertakes more tasks the wiser he gets, but he also gets older which hampers him and the challenges get harder. The whole theme works really well, and the artwork is great. The price is a little high for a box of cards, but think of it more of how much fun you get for so little outlay. Usually I would play 3 or 4 games in a row as each game only takes about 15-20 minutes. I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact that I think it falls just a little short of "Sylvion" - my hands down favourite solitaire game, if you haven't seen that one go check it out. However, "Friday" is a solid game and is up toward the top in my solo games list, definitely worth purchasing.

Very enjoyable and fun to play, also fiendishly tricky!
I decided to try this board game after stumbling across a review on YouTube. It's my first ever attempt at a "grown up" board game and I've really enjoyed it so far. The instructions were quite tricky to get the hang of so I watched a few YouTube videos and after a few run through I feel I'm finally getting the hang of it.It's very challenging, but not frustrating I'll look forward to playing many many more games and I think it has started a love of games for me. Brilliant.

Friday I'm in Love.
This simple solo card game by board game designer Friedmann Friese is fantastic fun when you have time to kill and no one to play games with. Friese's other designs for those who know him include Power Grid Board Game and Stronghold Games 504 Board Game to name but 2.This small box game see you playing the role of Friday trying to help Robinson Crusoe survive his time on the island. Through an abstract use of card play you perform activities which help you gain better cards to ultimately fight pirates whom will attack in the last phase of the game. If you check out the Boardgame geek or search for play through videos on you tube you will see how this fairly simple game plays out. 5 stars all the way for Me

Great concept but soul destroying
This is a great solo game but it is just too difficult to beat the game. After 40+ play throughs I still haven’t got close to beating the game and after a while it just becomes depressing.

Play Friday
a perfect little solo adventure game. Ideal to play and pass the time on a rainy day. Great quality cards and artwork, easy to learn and just difficult enough.

Easy to learn
Bought this as it was listed in a lot of top ten lists for following reasons.Solo play. Quick setup. Easy to learn. Short game time. A depth of logic and card management with variants to make it even harder. Brilliant and addictive.

One of the finest single player games under $30
You would not know it to look at the unopened box, but this is a remarkable single player game. It looks dinky when you get it, about the size of a day-by-day desk calendar, but it's a remarkably complex and fun game. Pretty easy to learn, but hard to beat. Extremely high replay value. Great for trips. On single player top 100 lists, this game is perpetually up there.

Hard, but interesting challenge !
After some ponctual party over the past months I still feel this game as really hard (my game was really ponctual). The visual side of the game is very classic, but correct, except the really ugly face of Robinson. Dispite this, game is still attractive and I come back to this regularly and much more than others game. I hope one day I can succeed versus those pirates ! A sort of long term challenge, each time this change my spirit, and I want to play for hours.
