Looks great, doesn't need batteries, will last forever and seems accurate enough. Cooking isn't about exact quantities.Precision digital scales are pretty useless for cooking. Most of the time you can wing it by measuring visually. For all other occasions mechanical scales will do. No electronics, very little to fail. 5kg limit is big enough for a single measure in most scenarios.

Wanted kitchen scales that didn't require batteries and had retro look so this product ticked all the boxes on my wish list. Looks fab in my kitchen, straightforward to use both in metric and pounds and ounces measures. Good sized measuring bowl as well. Great product and environmentally friendly no more batteries to try and get rid of.

Wanted some scales to go in my country kitchen themed kitchen - did have some electronic ones, but didn’t get on with them - these are easy to use, look the part. Very pleased. Very good price as well, which is rare at the mo!

While its fairly good quality and nice sturdy build, its scale is extremely large, there is no measuring grams for actual kitchen use, maybe in an industrial sized kitchen but not at home where you cook or bake for 1 to 4 people. its smallest unit is 20g so for other than flour that you need a lot in a cake, its useless for just about everything else

Looks good and does the job. The name on the box is Wilko who are sadly no longer with us but it makes no difference to the performance.

Solid scales, not flimsy. Very clear dual, easy to see. Had one like this nearly 20 years, it recently stopped weighing accurately, so bought this identical one as replacement. Very reasonable price free delivery, great. The plastic ties mentioned by other poster, just cut them off with scissors, easy.

I really like this scale, but I needed my father to show me the grey small plastic bits that (those held the part that was meant to hold the plate) needed to be removed for the scale to work.please note this is not on the instruction or the box so just remove them prior to thinking it does not work :)
