I was nervous about buying an electric sharpener, worried that I might accidentally ruin my knives or end up wasting my money. I’m happy to report the opposite—I’ve had no issues at all. It’s easy to use, and my knives are now razor-sharp. I even managed to restore a badly damaged knife to usefulness. Sure, it’s pretty loud, but so what? It’s not like I’m using it in the middle of the night!

Sharpens knives brilliantly as ne would expect from a Which Best Buy.

Bought it last week as I was tired from blunt knifes in our kitchen and all handheld sharpeners let me down. Good sharpener but be careful with smaller knifes as the stone is too far from the edge. As you can see on images, it leaves circa 1 cm gap and sharpening from there. Think that is the matter of the machine design.Chef knife all other big ones are fine. Not sure how long they last, time will tell.The "firework" and dust are just feature, nothing to worry about.

It's not a the best sharpner

Compact design, manual provided and easy to understand. Very good for sharpening scissors but still prefer to use a hand sharpener I have for serrated bladed knives but generally very satisfied and could recommend.

Usually i post a review after 6 months (if i remember), however as I was looking at a portable unit this came up and thought I would post a review.Yes it is noisy, but what do you expect for something that needs to get sufficient RPMs to properly grind a blade.As the tag goes I have been using this for 8 years and it does a good job on keeping my knives sharpened - from really cheap nasty knives to really expensive ones.Would definitely recommend if you need a knife sharpener, that does a good job, and as a bonus is also a retractable cable which makes it easy for storing.

Does what it say, the sparks from some knives are a bit disconcerting but the manual is better that some have said. All you need to know is that one side is course, the other is fine and don't put much pressure on. Looking forward to an afternoons sharpening!

Seems pretty good for very little money? Did a good job on my Japanese carving knife. Not so good on scissors that don't open fully, or maybe I'm doing something wrong? The edge maybe slightly too rough for some? Personally I still smooth off blades with a sharpening steel.
